Gutsy Goal: This semester, I will work hard to recruit enough new German students to fill two sections of German 1 next year.

The reason to believe in me and my goal: I set this goal for myself every year because I know that this is the best way to ensure a strong and viable German program here at Manzano, something in which I am personally invested and for which I am almost solely responsible. I feel encouraged by the fact that I always manage to fill enough sections to offer both German 1 and German 2 as separate courses and sections. I feel especially optimistic this year as I have just inducted 4 new members into the German National Honor Society and this group of stellar students and leaders will invigorate that club, whose main goal is to promote the German program on and off campus.

Micro-goals:
1) Arrange for all members of the German National Honor Society to attend 8th-Grade Parent Night on January 25 in traditional bayrische Trachten. Each member should plan to man the table for at least 15 minutes and to circulate for 5 additional minutes, passing out promotional materials (postcards, stickers, toffees).
2) Arrange for the members of the German national Honor Society to present the costumes, the dance, and a German children's song at Our Montessori School this semester.
3) Arrange for the German 2 students to read original children's books in German to an audience (the preschool students?) this semester.
4) Facilitate and oversee the MHS Plattler (our Bavarian Dance Team) and their audition for the Multicultural Assembly; we hope to perform at the assembly this semester.
5) Create fun promotional materials for learning German and distribute these during registration this semester.
6) Prepare a fabulous presentation for Electives Day this semester.
7) Wear my own Dirndyl (Bavarian attire) whenever it seems appropriate this semester, no matter how galling the experience.
8) Pass out German candies to any and all prospective German students.

Students who are failing after the grade check will need to set up a meeting with me to set goals and receive feedback.
3.
Dolores Gurule’ de Duran Goal: 85% of Physical Education students will pass the Physical Fitness test, EOC (mile, pacer, 20 min. walk with 70%). Preparation: More work in fitness instead of team sports.Goal: 85% of Physical Education students will pass EOC exam (5 Fitness Components) with a 70% or better. Preparation: More work in the class room reviewing and discussing the Fitness Components. Preparation: Review linking Periodization of Training to the F.I.T.T. principle and how the 5 fitness components relate to POT.I can achieve this goal because…I am a firm believer in fitness.I understand not every student is an athlete. They just need to be taught to find a sport or fitness workout that fits their needs and is fun for them to do.I always set my students up for success not failure.Micro-goal:1	Better lesson plans (make work outs fun) in fitness training.2	Spend more time on fitness training (written and physical).3	Provide feedback for students. Pro and con.4	Students will be tested on monthly basis.5	Work on behavioral students for a better learning environment.
