When people see things in society that are portrayed as a positive thing they will try to incorporate that into their life or support that action. A friend of mine portrayed social norms in a positive way when they made an PSA about the negative effects of smoking. This was a positive impact in social norms because she tried to encourage people to believe smoking is bad and to stop or to not start.
