Remembering Lindsay Thul

The very last words you ever want to hear….you have cancer. Our fighter, Lindsay Marie Thul, heard those devastating words at the young age of 28 after two weeks of experiencing a sore and inflamed breast. While we all fell to pieces around her, Lindsay never lost hope. Educating herself about her disease, Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC), became her primary mission and focus. Understanding that this form of breast cancer is the rarest and most aggressive type only ignited her desire to exhaust every option available, and be “the one in a million to beat it”.

Unconditional Love from Mom

My mom, Pat Frederking, taught me how to gracefully live and die. Mom wasn't diagnosed with breast cancer til she was 89 years old. As a mother of 6, grandmother of 10 and great grandmother of 7 kids, Mom was happiest when surrounded by family. Two days before she left us, she had video chats with nearly all her family. Then she went to bed, and gave in to the breast cancer. Mom loved me unconditionally through all the turmoil in my life (including breast cancer in 2010). Her final gift to me (and my Aunt Judy) was being with her when her spirit left her body and she joyously met Jesus Christ. (March 3, 2020) I hope to be like her til my last breath. I love you, Mom!!! Terri R.
