I am from where being happy was a must,

From singing and shouting to love and trust.

I am from where times are dark,

Sometimes for the flood i needed an ark.

I am from where the skies used to be bright,

You probably think i was always happy, not quite.

From the I love yous to the goodbyes

To the long days and the long nights

I am from where you had to forgive,

From places i outlived

From places that used to pass the day,

To places i used to love to play.

Under the layers of earth,

Is where my childhood lays.

Oh how much i wish i could go back to those days.
