Alexis's life was perfect, she had a boyfriend, best friend, and finally a little sister who is recovering after being possessed by an evil spirit. Alexis was happy that Kasey is making friends at school, she even joined a club. But things were getting suspicious with Kasey and her friends. Alexis knew something was wrong when the girls in the "Sunshine Club" went from nerdy and antisocial, to really popular and gorgeous. Alexis and Megan investigate by 'joining' the club and find out that they took an oath to be summoned by another spirit, Aralt. At first, they thought Aralt was harmless, but later figures out he's another evil spirit who has taken control of the Sunshine Club. They both get so caught up in it that they change too. Alexis even forgot the reason she joined, why would she want to hurt someone who offers so much to them, but wants so little in return? If you are anything like me and enjoy creepy and mysterious books, this series is just what you're looking for.

Have you ever dreamed of yourself being in a fairytale before? Nikki has! It all started in gym class, they were playing dodgeball and her archenemy, Mackenzie, slammed her in the face with a ball and was knocked out. She then woke up confused and surrounded by little "Munchkins". She falls asleep and wakes up in a different story. Nikki goes through different fairytales and learning a little more as she goes. She finally wakes up to the real world back in gym class. This book is a fun and relatable book for young teenagers to read. It has a little twist and explains the emotions of what a teenager goes through--daily.

Petra Kronos lives a basic, joyful life. But it's never been been normal. Petra has a tiny spider named Astrophil who hides in her tangled hair. Her life suddenly changes when her metal-moving father returns home...sightless. Her father then tells her that the prince has stolen her father's eyes, enchanted them, and wore them. The question was Why? Why would the prince do that. Petra had a plan to steal her father's back, by sneaking back into Prague (Her father's workplace), and secretly taking them back. Once, she reaches Salamander castle, she figures out that people in the castle are very unusual. She also realizes her dad's most sacred possession is also one of the most dangerous. "The Cabinet of Wonders" is a very odd, yet interesting book. It can also be confusing if you are not reading carefully. I recommend this book to readers of all ages who easily comprehend the theme of the book.

MIna McKee is a little girl who loves the night. She will lie awake and set her imagination free while gazing up at the stars. Her peers look at her as a "misfit" or "crazy" or a "disgrace". She lives with her mother (as her father died) and is now home-schooled after leaving her old school. She finds a black, empty, journal just laying there on a table for which seems like forever. She kept saying that she'll use it as a journal and finally, one night, did that. She begins writing and drawing about her world, thoughts, hopes, dreams, and feelings all over the empty, white pages. After a long time of filling her blank pages in her journal, she comes to realize she is not just a "misfit" or "bonkers" to everyone. She says she "is poised on the threshold of something marvelous. She learns to be brave and confident in herself. This book teaches young readers to be self-confident and to be brave and bold about yourself. The first thing she says to the new kid-"my name is Mina".

KT is a softball star (leading in pitching), she is on track to college and hopefully olympic softball champion. Then, the most important day of her life, the most important game of her life--she suddenly blacks out. When she wakes up, everything is opposite. All classes are changed to athletic drills, all the sports and after-school sports are switched with academic competitions. Even all of her trophies are changed to math trophies--for her brother?! KT is trying to figure out how to fix all of this, how to get her softball & family, back on track.

When Dr. Seuss was a kid, he loved to draw. His teachers didn't like him for that, he would do projects that were supposed to be serious, and puts them in a funny way. When he was older, he worked for book companies and drew for them. He eventually was fired because he did something illegal. He needed to change his name, no , his name was not Dr. Seuss. In college, he met a girl who was the only one who thought he was talented. He didn't have much money because nobody accepted him. So he created his own books! All the kids loved him. He even made a movie later and won two Oscars over it! He decided to still write books though. The famous phrase that still to this day, is very common was "Oh the places you'll go!" Dr. Seuss has created so many books for little kids to enjoy! Kids absolutely love his books as well. I'm glad he chose to stick with writing books instead of making movies.

But what if all this is not a mistake? What if it's not so bad after all? What if this is a good thing?
