The most interesting fact about the Harlem Renaissance is that black people came together to make it better for them & their culture. I think its the most interesting fact because it proved white people wrong, they thought we was illiterate & limited to our resources. However, we stood up & fought for our race & culture.

Over the course of history differences were singled out, they were scrutinized. We as blacks were different from whites. We were thought of as unintelligent farmers, that would never be nothing else. Our image was in tatters. What fascinated me most was the struggle to get to the Harlem Renaissance. In the face of adversity we persevered. Chasing dreams we gave hope, brought on a movement, and changed the way in which we were perceived. We never gave up.

The Harlem R. happened because of the great migration. Another name for the Harlem R was the ” The new negro ” and it was a way to help people gain rights. Blues and jazz became apart of it. More blacks made Harlem their home. Also, Whites were enjoying the music and performances.

what interest me about harlem renaissance is that they lived in new York and created a movement worldwide about music, art, and literature they also made many forms of music like blues, jazz, pop. Harlem created clubs for people black and white to enjoy. White people really be coming so see black people play and really be enjoying there music. Harlem was a place for people to thrive on there own to experience whats out there for them. Harlem renaissance was known for the creativity and it was a movement for the new negro movement. Langston hughes transform regular poetry to jazz poetry. Harlem renaissance was a destination for the African people

I really like this lesson because it gives feedback on how life was in the early 1920s and how panio became popular through Jaz music pointers from the video explain that jazz only use Brazz interments and how clothing started to change. So throughout this whole American background I feel this would help a lot around the world and should be spoken more upon of.
