This is a tough question. We want out students and our children to learn all of the things that we were taught and have that knowledge, but how often is cursive used? I want to say yes that I believe cursive should be taught, but on the other hand wouldn't it be more beneficial to learn something that would actually be used?

As much as I am an appreciator of the arts and do love good calligraphy, although I do not have it myself...do we really need cursive? How about instead of cursive we require students to learn a second language throughout school? This could be much more beneficial to students.

Learning how to write in cursive is important. Cursive writing is easier and faster than normal letters. Cursive allows students to express themselves. The future should not require online signatures because any computer can false a signature.
