         <description><![CDATA[<p>The Lowell Girls helped operate the Lowell Mills in Waltham, Massachusetts during the 1820s.</p><p>The Lowell Girls impacted society by making an important economic contribution. They did this by providing labor for the Industrial Revolution. These girls came from family farms to come to the Mills to work for 12 hours a day. They had boarding houses, fresh cooked meals, and also rules to protect the woman so the parents were reassured that the daughters will be safe at the Mills.</p>]]></description>

Hundreds of the new sewing machines bought by people. Isaac Singer also helped Howe to improve the sewing machine also. Now people can make dozens of any piece of clothing with a machine instead of sewing the clothing by hand.</p>]]></description>

The change of homes became popular during the Industrial Revolution. These boarding Houses were also built so people can stay near the job like working at Mills and other things. In poorer families, the woman have to go out and work for there family. For wealthy families, the men go out while the woman stays at home. Most of these people coming out to work mostly come from big family farms or just farms in general.</p>]]></description>

Kids that were 7 years old and up were qualified to work at Mills.</p><p>This impacted society by, helping Mills because they could squeeze through large machines. Most people say now that child Labor is cruel. But kids did work hard on farms also. So in conclusion, people did not really see a difference between kids working on farms, and kids working at the Mills.</p>]]></description>
