Probably one of the most casual piece of technology people instantly recognize is the TV. It was first successfully demonstrated on September 7, 1927 and designed by Philo Taylor Farnsworth. The idea had came to him when he was only in high school where he wanted to conceive of a system that could capture moving images in a form that could be coded onto radio waves and then transformed back into a picture on a screen. This will eventually develop into the modern day television sets we have today. Instead of just focusing live feeds we have integrated the internet to stream movies, Tv shows, sports, etc.

The stove has slowly evolved from medieval times more resembling that of a kiln, to the modern stoves of today, employing electromagnets similar, but not the same, to that of microwaves. The original mudbrick stoves slowly evolved into brick ovens built into a chimney. The gas stove was invented all the way back in 1826, but never became a large seller until the late 1800s. Gas stoves came out in 1892. The first two were massive, nearly 6 feet long. The electric stove took various forms throughout the 1900s, and even in modern times still is employed, just in different designs. For example, induction ovens are quite efficient, coming out at the turn of the century.

The Nazis truly were the most innovative group for the time period. During WWII, they came out with the Sturmgewehr, which is the father of all modern assault rifles. This innovation was the first, and combined the best attributes of a sub machine gun and an assault rifle. The gun featured a semi-automatic setting and a ruthless fully automated firing mode able to be switched between at a moments notice. Even for those who are not knowledgeable in history, chances are that they have heard of its much more infamous descendant, the AK 47 assault gun.
