He was very happy and he loved books.  But, sadly his dad went to prision because he had monetary problems. With that, Dickens had to leave school for start working in a factory. It was hard and it was an horrible experience. With the time, he become the reporter for the newspaper "The Mirror of Parliament". Soon, he began writing short stories for other magazines. These stories were published in parts. So, it went on many months to a story to be published at all. He married Catherine Hogarth and in April 1837 he publish his first novel "The Pickwick Papers". He start making more books about the people he meet in all his life. Usually, his books talk about poverty and social problems because he lived in the Victorian Age. He travel to many parts in the world and wirte books about them.
