TPT was a great resource. It provided an abundance of ways to get the whole class involved in learning and gave examples that were easily adaptable for multiple grade levels. Reading it certainly made me reflect on the ways I have checked for understanding in the past, and given me ideas on how to adjust some of my methods so that everyone is involved. The book provided solid examples of different techniques that not only allow me as a teacher to quickly check for understanding, but also activities that build student confidence, engagement, and collaboration among peers. This is important in every grade, but especially so in Kindergarten where many are new to a structured learning environment. It is critical that students feel included and heard at this early juncture in their academic careers and the techniques offered in this book ensure that happens. This book will keep a prominent place on my shelf for a reference and reminder to keep incorporating TPTs into my daily lessons.

TPTs are a great way to get all of your kiddos involved in your lessons. I love that it is very easy and quick to do for the teacher. With a class list on a clipboard nearby, it is easy for me to check off who has it and who does not. Then I can have my high school helper, Title aide or myself review with the students that need it. The TPT that I have enjoyed implementing the most are the "Mouth It," "Air-Write It," and "Whisper It to Your Neighbor" during math class. I love that I can purposefully focus on the students that I want to check on and they can share their answer without having to take the risk of raising their hand. It's a win-win!

I love that TPTs are an easy way to get our learning support students involved and they feel successful doing it. Often, as they get older, they will begin to shut down and not want to participate. This helps them to feel confident in themselves once again.

Reading this book has made me rethink formative assessment. Using TPTs allows a teacher to quickly and frequently check for student understanding without constantly "testing." It also provided lots of examples and ideas for TPTs that are fun for the students.
Megan Posegay

TPTs are a great way to get all students involved in lessons and for me to quickly check for their understanding without subjecting them to more multiple choice responses. I like the fact that most can be done quickly and don't require a lot of prep work beforehand.

I enjoyed reading and working my colleagues through the TPT resource book. I am excited to use these instructional strategies throughout next year to ensure my students are involved and supported in their learning.

TPT's have helped me to use formative assessment more often in my classroom. In addition, the quality of my formative assessments has improved, which has also improved my instruction. I love that TPT's are easy, quick, and most importantly...meaningful! They offer almost immediate (if not immediate) feedback to both the students and to me. TPT's truly represent a student's understanding!
