Use data to compare her results (trend for the year) and the expectations.

I would meet her separately to question her further (eating four capsules of panadol is worrying!)

Also, will call her parents to talk about her well-being and their expectations.

Replace- Suggest strategies for student to accept unachieved goals and expectations. Ways to self motivate and self regulate emotions.

Reconnect- Checking in with parents and gain insights on how student is coping at home as well as getting to know more about parents expectation.

Recall what was her expectations for the exam.

Recall why was this expectation set.

Rationalise:

Rationalise what is reasonable and not reasonable in the expectations set.

Replace:

Replace the expectations to be something reasonable.

Replace negative thoughts to looking for areas to improve.

Replace consumption of panadol with positive thinking.

Reconnect:

Reconnect by providing an open channel for her to respond to.

Reconnect with the parents about the situation and resolve it.

Rationalise: Reason out with her the marks she got (any improvements, etc.)

Replace: Use words of affirmation instead
