The lessons help provide an arc, but do not actually reflect the learning that will occur for each student. Listening to where students are and meeting them  in that place is so central supporting and moving kids. Framing this as work as antiracist pedagogy adds another vital layer and centers this thinking on an even deeper core level for me. I love the idea of "centering the people who are the most marginalized".
