I picked this book because reading sooooo fun. Stuart’s boat struggles during the race, but he still wins because of Stuart’s quick thinking.One day, Mrs. Little takes in a hurt bird named Margalo, who recovers and becomes friends with Stuart. Stuart accidentally falls into a trash can and is put on a barge headed out toward sea. Just when things look bad, Margalo appears and rescues him. One night, Snowball and a cat from the street talk about Snowball’s homelife and the street cat plans on eating Margalo. However, a pigeon overhears them talking and warns Margalo, which causes her to run away. Stuart leaves home to search for Margalo and the boat owner gives Stuart the use of a model car that works with gasoline. Stuart arrives in a town and is told there is a girl named Harriet in the town around his size. Stuart writes a letter to Harriet, inviting her to go canoeing with him. Harriet meets Stuart near a stream, but Stuart’s canoe is destroyed, and they part ways.
