         <description><![CDATA[<p>Some negative or problematic practices of Google:</p><ul><li><p>Lack of competition: Google is the most popular online search, and some believe it unfairly favours its services making other companies not able to compete.</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Targeted ads: Google uses individuals personal data to show targeted ads.</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Privacy concerns: The company has access to all our data and what we search on a day-to-day.</p></li><li><p>Control of information: Since Google controls search results, it can pick what info people see first, which could be biased.</p></li><li><p>Environmental impact: Google runs massive data centres that use lots of energy.</p></li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Some problematic practices of SHEIN are the following:</p><ul><li><p>Dangerous Labour Conditions, shein has been known to have employees working in extremely fast paced production factories which can cause health concerns</p></li><li><p>Worker Exploitation, most employees work way over the typically amount of hours allowed for only a small amount of pay</p></li><li><p>Transparency, shein has been often caught advertising as a great and cheap company but has lacked to inform public that it deals with many shady deals and processes behind closed doors</p></li><li><p>Fast Fashion Environmental Issues, shein is a fast fashion company where cheap and short lasting clothing is produced and sold worldwide, this ultra fast fashion leads to tons of pollution and waste created</p></li><li><p>Encourages Throw-Away Culture, shien makes their product poorly made purposefully to ensure their customers will come back to buy loads more of cheap clothing when previously pruchased items are ruined and need to be thrown away</p></li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Some bad practices that Apple use are:</p><p><br/></p><ul><li><p>Takes large cuts of revenue from any purchases on their App Store.</p><p><br/></p></li><li><p>Purposely makes it difficult to repair any products made by Apple.</p><p><br/></p></li><li><p>Products are made to degrade overtime so people have to buy all the newest tech.</p><p><br/></p></li><li><p>Companies Apple works with for materials using child labor, and generally having unfavorable conditions.</p><p><br/></p></li><li><p>Things like Siri had been proved to listen to what people say sometimes, and would store the info, even if semsitive.</p><p><br/></p></li><li><p>In the past had done things to skip out on paying taxes.</p><p><br/></p></li><li><p>Apple often takes things from other phones, and integrates it into their own.</p><p><br/></p></li></ul>]]></description>

         <title>Multinational Organizations: Amazon - Gracey</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li><p>High injury rate of workers.  The injury rates at Amazon's fulfilment centres are significantly higher than the industry average.</p></li><li><p> Workers are tracked by an algorithm that monitors productivity, allowing for large amounts of pressure to be put on the employees, where sometimes breaks are cut, and bathroom breaks are prevented. </p></li><li><p>Exploiting seller data, where they use non public data from third party sellers on its on platform to developing its own products.</p></li><li><p>Predatory pricing where amazon has lowered their prices to unsustainable levels to drive competitors out of business. </p></li><li><p>Unsafe Items: Investigations found thousands of products on the site that were previously flagged as unsafe, banned, or mislabeled.</p></li><li><p>Medical Misinformation: Amazon has been criticized for selling books and videos promoting misinformation, such as false autism cures and anti-vaccination content.</p></li><li><p>Packaging Waste: The company is criticized for excessive packaging and the environmental cost of returned or unsold products being destroyed.</p></li></ul>]]></description>
