I know this sounds a little spontaneous, but it's not. What Rose finds is not a never-ending vortex, but a hand twice the size of her (she didn't actually find the hand she was knocked out). I guess she wasn't wearing a helmet :( . The finding of the first part of her was a ginormous discovery to the U.S. This showed the people working on this certain project they were not the only people in the universe  (and they were all scared and ran to their mommy's). They found out that the parts to her, were very responsive to a chemical compound called argon thirty-seven. I know it sounds boring, but it has to do with nuclear warfare. Still boring? Well, I can't help that. On a side note, there was an alien code that could not be deciphered, but turned out to be alien math. I know, another very exciting topic! As tall as a twenty story building, and weighing two hundred tons she was incredibly heavy and made of a rare material found mainly in asteroids. The suits that were located inside of her were not made to fit the anatomy of the human race, but more or less made for a different race at a different time. Two people were considered to pilot this device. Kara Resnik was a pilot suspended from the military, because of a crash that damaged her vision. The second pilot is Kara's partner, Ryan Mitchell. The face behind all of this is Dr. Rose Franklin, the girl that originally fell into the hole that I mentioned in the Uncovering. The system only accepts compatible partners. This was not known at the time of the creation. Vincent grows close to Kara, and Ryan. One night the group goes out for a drink, then return to the lab. Being drunk Vincent tries on the helmet, and to his surprise a stabbing pain shocks his body leaving him disabled. It turned out if it feels like you're dying it's working, so bye Ryan, but what about all the progress Kara and Ryan made. Oh well the helmet doesn't work so Ryan's useless. Well not totally because Ryan helps train Vincent. The day's over and Ryan had left, having stayed in the sphere and working together for nearly six months now. So of course feelings for each other must have been developing, so Kara and Vincent get out of the bubble and Vincent (This is in how I describe it because if i quote anything from the book then I would immediately get an F) so Vincent makes the first move then before much else happens Ryan drives through the cement wall with his pick up truck and runs into Vincent. I know, sounds hilarious right. Another thing that relates to knowledge is being able to create a chemical compound that responds to the metal in the giant.
