Simon Bolivar wrote this letter to Henry Cullen. He seems to be an indignant leader who speaks for the lower class who are outraged by their lack of rights. He seems to be very smart and very well-educated. He is very passionate about the wrongdoings that Spain has committed against South Americans and the lower class. He is enraged at Spain's injustice against the people of South America. He was a member of the Venezuelan planter class. He was in exile.

Bolivar was in the in the admirable campaign and when he was defeated, he fled and Venezuela fell. Bolivar was exiled in Jamaica and trying to contact the British Empire because Latin American freedom would cause a lot of profit for England. He writes the letter to Henry Cullen. Bolivar wrote the piece to explain the fall of Venezuela to Henry Cullen and he also wrote to the British Empire so they would free the Latin American colonies. This letter was written in 1815 while Bolivar was in exile in Jamaica. The event leading to its development was Bolivar's exile after the fall of the Second Venezuelan Republic. Bolivar used the document to seek support and assistance from foreign powers, including Great Britain and the United States, in the fight against Spanish colonial rule. At the time of the document's drafting, the region was characterized by ongoing struggles for independence from Spanish colonial rule. Bolivar was deeply involved in these efforts, facing both successes and setbacks. The fall of the Second Venezuelan Republic marked a low point for Bolivar, prompting his temporary exile in Jamaica.

The tone in this letter is extremely annoyed as Simon Bolivar explains the situation of the Americas as lesser than slavery. He states how he begged for Spain to let them go and have freedom, and how upon refusal, that they are attacking and taking it for themselves. To the audience, he is seen as desperate and at a loss. The author's point of view is strictly with the Spanish colonies, and he views the Spanish as despicable for denying their unalienable rights. The author proves his annoyance with the Spanish's disapproval by stating that the Spanish peninsula has become more infuriating than the "stormy ocean between us."

The authors were representatives of the United States of America, in General Congress. They were elites that were selected to represent the general and majority opinion of their respective regions. They, along with the people they represented wanted to have certain rights and fair representative measures in the British government to have a say in what happened to them. Since the British declined these requests, these people wanted to be able to control themselves and break free from British rule.

The saying "No taxation without Representation" came from the American revolution, in which Great Britain imposed taxes on papers yet refused to give the American colonies representatives within the British Parliament. The colonies argued that if they were made to pay taxes they should also have a say in the government, however Great Britain denied them stating that they were simply colonies. To take a stance, the American Colonies wrote the Declaration of Independence, spreading word to the world (the printing press had taken off for political awareness among other topics) of their grievances against Great Britain, showcasing the wrongs of which they had done. "... that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights ... That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness."

The subject of this document is a deeply written statement on the inclusion of the people during decisions made by the government and how and why America is taking a stand. I know this because in the document it talks about how the people in charge are not seeing the lower classes as equals, and are not in the very least giving them an equal say in the changes of their own towns. After time and time again of trying to convince them to change their rules and allow the people to have a say in decisions, they are taking a stand against the power. This information is being presented through detailed times of when they have tried to reasonably discuss the dire situation, along with more detailed information of why they have decided to break off from the British rule.

The tone of the authors (Written and edited mostly by Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, and John Adams) is very assertive, formal, serious and direct. The authors would be perceived as being very direct, they're trying to get their point out and prove a point to the reader, they're making a stand. In the Authors point of view highlights the equality of man as well as how they had been treated under rule as a British Colony. Their goal, to get the word out not only to Britain but to the world required the assertive, formal, serious and direct writing form to really convey to the message and not only change peoples minds but encourage them to be a part of something greater than themselves.

Throughout the Declaration of Independence, many enlightenment principles are reflected as a means of explaining their exasperation towards Great Britain and its policies. In the large majority of the declaration, many grievances about the king and parliament of Great Britain are stated, explaining the grave injustices experienced by the colonists as a result if the lack of noticeable Checks and Balances in the British political structure. This leads to an unfair government where the king has an unjust control over the policies, resulting in a lack of rights for the colonists. This, in turn, denies the people of the colonies their Universal God Given Human Rights, as outlined in the second paragraph of the Declaration. This denying of their rights was not an action to which the people of the colonies finds acceptable, therefore, its persistence demonstrates a lack of respect towards the people Consent to be governed. All of these things put together led those of the colonies to determine the government of Great Britain unfit to rule, and they must invoke their duty to overthrow this unjust government, and instal in its place a government in which it's sole purpose is to protect those rights to which all humans are entitled.

The writers of this document are trying to declare the "natural unalienable, and sacred rights of man". The purpose of this document is to declare the natural rights of the previously oppressed peasant population by claiming that people are born free and equal. The speaker also wants to ensure that the government cannot abuse their power and create laws that only benefit themselves, which can be further supported with article 6, which explains how everyone should be equally represented in lawmaking.

The speaker is adamant in their clear declarations for equality, and the writer uses words such as "most precious of the rights of man . . . general good . . . resistance to oppression" to spark a want for change in the reader.

Throughout the document there is a continuous idea of the "man" being able to exercise the rights to property, liberty, and life. There are multiple appearances of the idea of division of power and individualism when it's mentioned that rights are not to be infringed upon and the government cannot interfere with the mans certain rights.

The American Revolution worked as a huge motivation for the writing of the Declaration of Rights and Man. France in 1789 had a huge imbalance in the social structure. The First and Second Estates got all the money and power over the other 97% of the population who was part of the Third Estate, as well as the first two estates not having to pay any taxes. Due to the ignorance, neglect, and contempt of the higher estates, the National Assembly stated the natural rights of man in the Declaration of Rights and Man.

The subject of the piece is the official rights of man and citizen that the National Assembly recognizes. I know this because it says so in the paragraph at the beginning and the text below it is all different rights. It is talking about natural and inalienable rights. The subject was likely selected as it was written at a time when France was in a lot of turmoil because it was going through a revolution. These rights were set as an outline for people to follow in the new stage of their country. It was written with help from Thomas Jefferson, so it holds great similarities to the American Declaration of Independence. The subject is presented as a very important matter since there is great emphasis being put on the basic rights of people.

The speaker and brains behind this document are the loer class, or 3rd poarty citizens of the political system which is conveyed through their opposition to elliete privilage and when it taks about the National Assembl which consisted of normal frech citizens, which would be the lower class since it takes up 97% of the population. Despite the authros being of low social class, they do seem to be knoledgable of enlightenment ideals and this could be one from movable text. In the article it established a disregard for religious discrimiation. It is also apparent that they are ready for a change, in social structure and political power movments. The piece was written by a guy names Marques Lafayett and was a very important aspect continuing the french revolution. There is also apparent american influence including the way they conduct their government and principles

Born on July 24 1783, Simón Bolívar followed the Enlightenment speakers and was inspired by America to rebel because he thought what Spain did was unfair. Simón Bolívar was speaking for the South American people attempting to sever their relationship with Spain. He is saying their hatred is greater than the ocean between them. It seems like he is looking up to America and it appears to be a list of grievances toward their relationship with Spain.

The declaration's tone is seemingly somewhat imperious, but also has aspects of frustration and hard-headedness. When reading this, the main idea that was received was that they were tired of how they had been being treated and would not be persuaded to back down. They were demanding change, whether the other two Estates were willing to go easily or not.
