I think it is very common for people to "take shower every day". (give your idea) Because of the hot and humid weather in Hong Kong, it is very difficult NOT to take a shower every day. (reason) It is not difficult to understand why people would use harsh, dry soaps because it allows them to feel refreshed and clean afterward. (result)

Yes, definitely. I eat breakfast every single day. It's just too important to me as it gives me a boost of energy level in the early morning. No matter how busy I am, I would wake up a little bit earlier and make sure I can have breakfast before I start working. Thanks to my parents and helper, I usually have sandwich, cereal, or sometimes noodles in the morning. Together with a cup of coffee, it will kick off a good start of my day. Actually, I found that having regular breakfast improves my ability to concentrate and somehow I can be more productive. According to a research, not having breakfast affects your mental performance, including your attention, memory and concentration. People who have breakfast regularly tend to performance better academically compared with those who skip breakfast. Therefore, if you tend to skip breakfast, try to wake up 15 minutes earlier and enjoy your morning blessing tomorrow.

I think it is so common for us to "sleeping too little". Because of the long working hours of Hong Kong people until the night that finally have a bit of spare time. Moreover, there are many seductive things such as different multi devices and social media just for fun, whatsoever. Therefore, as we live in Hong Kong, such a pressure cooker that always feels stressful, then it quite makes sense to sleep less to have fun and feel relaxed.

I think most of them are the common health mistakes in Hong Kong. Some example are “sleeping too little” and “skipping breakfast”, many Hong Kong people have a busy life, they always only focus on in their academics or careers, thus time is a valuable resource for them. To actively using their daily time, this caused them to sleep too little as well as skip breakfast. Furthermore, “over-exercising” is also one of the common mistakes in Hong Kong. Since the limited time, Hong Kong people may choose to exercise within one day to finish one week’s workout, which is bad for their physical wellbeing and this leads to over-exercising. —Aki

We have to think about it or undergo some research for that. Nowadays, we can post some information online to share the news easily. Most of them will not know a hot shower can be bad for our skin if they have never been told by someone.

“Carrying a heavy bag”

Most of the people who do this are children, and they lack awareness about health thus children can enhance their awareness through the workshop.

“Skipping breakfast”

Skipping breakfast is a common mistake made by people in society, and most of them don’t think this will affect their health, so this can become one of the topics of the workshop to push people’s attention to having breakfast. —Aki

I do think attitudes towards health habits change over time. Due to time, the development of technology has increased, which means people’s knowledge and life levels have also improved. For example, people in the past lacked awareness of health as their study opportunities were rare, thus they didn’t have enough information to define the meaning of healthy and to build up healthy habits. People nowadays are more informed than in the past since they can learn and search for everything online, which enhances their awareness of how important it is to have healthy habits and makes them more serious about their health. —Aki

My point of view of common healthy mistakes among Hong Kong people is “carrying heavy bag”. Well this is a pestilence and that must be stamped out, I’ve seen many of the primary candidates always carrying a school bag which the size is doubled to their body. May be this common phenomenon but this is not a healthy stuff, because if the students carry the heavy school bags day by day, it will hurt their spinal cord and affect their growth especially their on the period of growing.

More and more, carrying heavy bag for a long time will affect body posture and that’s really ugly if your cervical spine tilted forward. And the problem is it will lower your height specially you’re a boy, I pretty sure that boys really cares about their height so don’t think there’s no side effect of carrying heavy bag everyday!
Evelyn

I think showering everyday is very common among everyone, especially in Hong Kong.Research shows that unless you are very active, have bad body odour, or live in a hot environment, one shower every other day is plenty for most people as your body does not get dirty so quickly that you need to wash frequently and you are unlikely to smell after one day without showering. Therefore,I think everyone who don’t want himself or herself smell bad, will take shower everyday.
-Keith

According to my research, students should not carry a school bag weighing more than 10% of the student's body weight for a long time. Schools can help students understand that overweight schoolbags will affect their health and growth, such as back pains, neck problems or poor posture etc and tell them that they have the responsibility and ability to reduce the weight of their schoolbags. Schools can regularly inspect students’ schoolbags, check if they have brought any unnecessary books. Schools should cultivate students' habit of packing their schoolbags every day, and ensure that students only bring necessary textbooks, exercises and stationery back to school, so as to train students' self-care ability. At the same time, schools also can encourage students to use lightweight yet durable school bags or stationery and show students the correct posture for carrying school bags, so that it can prevent students have any pain.
-Rita

I think it is very common for people to "over-exercising. " Although Hong Kong is a fast-paced city,
a lot of Hong Kong people still insist on the sports they like, it may also depend on the courts where is around us in every public place. On the other hand, because the now society is chasing a perfect body shape which means having thin legs, and slim arms for girls being muscular, and so on for boys. The trend leads us to a "mistake" of health, more and more people are thinking that having a good body shape means healthy, and healthy is variety. The misconception of health which only focus on the physical part of our life is the main reason for over-exercising because they just wanna have a good body shape and not depend on their original interest. It is not difficult to understand why people would over-exercise, expect of the school teams training or some necessary exercising there are still plenty advertisements of the sports courses, weight loss classes that we can participate in.Therefore,it is not surprising it is common for people over-exercising.
Madge

No, most of the time because most people will just focus on the results merely. As a student, we have no time to take tremendous care of our habits because we are just finding a good result. For example, no matter how long the school life is the major talent is getting into a university. Therefore, students will find an effective way to study or do revision before the exam. The example I gave is similar to society such as the people nowadays wanna lose weight, or have plastic surgery even cure their sickness, the process is necessary but it doesn't mean that the attitudes towards health habits change over time. The main reason is we have already decided on our target, the attitude in our process depends on our way. If we insist, our attitude towards health habits won't change over time. So if we have a clear target of something, actually we won't affected by the time how long we take to continue our habits.
