Banquo: Thou hast it now: king, Cawdor, Glamis, all, As the weird women promised, and I fear Thou played’st most foully for ’t. Yet it was said It should not stand in thy posterity,

(3:1:1-5)

Pictured; A man suspicious of another looking at them weirdly

Banquo knows now that Macbeth has achieved everything the witches foretold and expresses his concern that Macbeth may have committed crimes to make these prophecies true. This highlights Banquo's moral integrity and how much chaos Macbeth's ambition has brought. This ties into fate vs free will because the witches prophecies made Macbeth do this but he also has free will to know right from wrong. Banquo has a strange feeling about him like when someone's story doesn't add up , perfectly captured in a suspicious glance.

Macbeth: To be thus is nothing, But to be safely thus. Our fears in Banquo Stick deep, and in his royalty of nature Reigns that which would be feared. 'Tis much he dares,

(3:1:50-55)

Macbeth's mind is now in a state of terror all the time an he is desperately trying to fight against it. He is trapped in his own paranoia, haunted by the idea no matter what he does, Banquo's descendants are gonna be in his place. His ambition and his fear is driving him to desperate and violent measures. Which connects to the gif, Macbeth does not enjoy this but it has just become who he is now.

Thou may ’st revenge —O slave!

(3:3:19-20)

Pictured; Blood dropping

The murderers kill Banquo as him and Fleance are riding back to the castle and that line is what he says as he dies. Banquo dies but Fleance escapes. This ties into violence as Macbeth told the murderers to kill Banquo for himself which is his ambition. He realizes that Fleance is still out there, posing a threat to him. This escalates the violence because the fact that one murder leads to more and more violence is a key theme. Macbeth also tries to alter fate but Fleance's escape is an example that some aspects of destiny are beyond his control.

And the right-valiant Banquo walked too late

(3:6:3-6)

Pictured: man thinking deeply

Lennox is growing suspicion and discontent with the other lords about Macbeth, hinting a rebellion against him. He sees that things have been weird/puzzling the pieces together and implies that Macbeth might be responsible for these deaths. This ties into appearance vs reality because while Macbeth tries to maintain this look of innocence and loyalty, Lennox's remarks reveal the truth beneath the surface.

And you all know, security Is mortals' chiefest enemy

(3:5:30-34)

Pictured: witch angrily mixing a potion

Hecate's appearance underscore the witches manipulation of Macbeth. She wants to use illusions and trickery to lead him to destruction. It ties into supernatural, fate vs free will and the dangers of ambition. Her presence and speech reinforce the supernatural part and her manipulation raises questions about how she can influence him, but individuals are still responsible for their own actions as well as her intervention will make Macbeth's ambition even worse.

Pray you, keep seat

(3:4:56-57)

Pictured; fake smiling

The man fake smiling is like how Lady Macbeth is trying to cover up for Macbeth and attempt to maintain control. this shows her diminishing influence over him and her own struggle to manage her actions. This ties into manhood and ambition because her desire for control and power, she believes that she can get a better future for her and her husband. This also challenges the traditional gender roles. she uses manipulation and persuasion to get to where she wants.

Lennox: Here, my good lord. What is ’t that moves your highness?

(3:4:51)

Pictured: Ghosts entering

Macbeth starts seeing things like Banquo's ghost at the table showing that he is going insane and showing how much this is tormenting him and his guilt. Lennox talks to him and is wondering what's wrong because he does not know what Macbeth is talking about. This ties into unnatural vs natural because the ghosts are supernatural in this scene to reveal hidden truths and revenge. It also is appearance vs reality because only Macbeth can see the ghosts. While others at the banquet see nothing, he is confronted with the reality of his actions.
