We use blocks to makes some Inuktitut words. We spell out their Inuktitut names, we count to 10 in Inuktitut. We sometimes videos some Inuktitut videos. We drum dance and throat sing. Some of us try to read Inuktitut books to them.

I ensure that Inuktitut is used and modelled by speaking some parts of it during daily routines, play, songs, and conversations with children. I use simple Inuktitut words and phrases throughout the day so children hear and practice the language naturally.

I also include Inuit music and cultural activities and encourage children to communicate in Inuktitut with educators, and family members. Modelling the language daily helps children feel connected to their culture and strengthens their language development.

There are some ways that I ensure Inuktitut is being used and modelled to the children in my care is, and those ways are calling them by their Inuktitut name, I speak simple words to them in Inuktitut so that they can understand. We also sing songs in Inuktitut during circle time, count up to 10 in Inuktitut. We also listen to songs in Inuktitut during free play or during snack and/or craft time. I also like to say to the children that I like the colour of their shirt or sweater, saying the colour in Inuktitut.

Through calling the children by their Inuktitut names, using simple words like “maani- over here” “taika - right there”. Singing and reading in Inuktitut, using Inuktitut letter sand boards during craft times, showing them Inuit tools/props. Including Inuktitut letters and names in their crafts.

How i ensure Inuktitut in our daycare is saying their Inuktitut name, saying what few Inuktitut words i know to them, having them say the colors, numbers up to 10, Sing the i pi it kis, twinkle little stars in Inuktitut, we sing 7 days of the week in Inuktitut, and we play Inuktitut songs throughout the day

The most I love hearing is saying their Inuktitut name, and when they’re singing I pii tii kii…

I try my best to ensure that Inuktitut is being used, I myself don’t know it but i try to teach what i know and what i know it very limited. There are ways to ensure it is being used and modelled and it is at circle time with days of the week, counting, ii, pi, ti, ki in Inuktitut and their colours

When were doing reading time the children always ask if i can read them a book that is written in Inuktitut, but I dont know how to read them.

I a read only roman orthography, and i like to use the flash card we have at daycare for circle time, having the children guess what the flash card is has on the card. Most times the children get the cards right away and there are some things the children dont know so I get to teach them a few words.
