When we hear about homes burning, we assume something went wrong in the house. But in this incident it was white men setting a black man’s house on fire. You might argue it was an accident but it definitely wasn’t. There were white people hurting an innocent man.  One answer is racism. David Logan, a local farmer, thinks: “ These folks gettin’ so bad in here. Heard tell they lynched a boy a few weeks ago in Crosston.” . And David Logan is absolutely right. Terrible things are happening right now. Most people don’t understand that people are really bad in these times. Many black people are treated  so badly only because of their skin color. One incident just happened this week. A 9-year-old black girl was thrown out of the Wallace store.

This newspaper reminds the people to not be racist to black people. Some white people do terrible things to black people. If black people protest against the abuse they could be arrested or worse. But you can protest and try to make a difference in our community.

Morrison, was fired last Friday because he was accused of shooting two white men at the railroad. The three got into a fight. The two white men started the fight and attacked L.T. Morrison who then had to protect himself. L.T.’s employers at the railroad fired him and let the two white people keep their job.

There was black man getting fired even though he didn’t start the fight. The employees knew  that he didn’t start the fight but still fired him. Because he was black nobody stood up for him except a young black guy named David Logan. L.T Morrison right now lives with his friend David Logan and his family. L.T. Morrison means in a conversation that he got fired but they did not: He said: “‘they was white’”here you can see that the other men didn’t get fired, because they were white.
