Ghosts by Raina Telegaimer
Cat, the main character, is upset that she has to leave all her friends to move to Bahía de la Luna for her dad’s job. She meets her “annoying” neighbor Carlos, and he shows Cat and her little sister Maya, who has cystic fibrosis, around the town. Carlos shows them the ghosts that he knows and has seen, but what happens when the ghosts get overly excited? Maya’s life gets put in danger. My favorite character is Maya, the little sister; she is always ecstatic and upbeat even when times are rough. This is a great book for kids in middle school and elementary because it is a little bit of a challenge, but you can still glide through the book and feel the emotions of the characters and their journey that they are on.

Nova's society used to be broken, but soon prodigies (extraordinary people with powers) built an organization called the "Renegades" that consists of prodigies who want to do good. The group Nova works for is the exact opposite.

The Dragonet Prophecy by Tui T. Sutherland
1.) This is a fantasy novel about 5 dragonets who face a destiny they didn't choose: to end a war going on between the dragon tribes. They have been hidden for much of their lives and are itching to go to the outside world and to test their own fate. In a 5-book series, this first installment outlines the price of freedom and chance of finding and making your own destiny instead of one that was shaped for you.

2.) "I mean, maybe I was born that way, but does that mean I'm like that forever? I guess I hope I have a choice, is all. I want to be what I want to be. Not who I have to be." (Sutherland 87)

3.) I would definitely recommend this book to others. It's very packed with adventure, action, and a book to show the consequences of war, knowledge, freedom, and choices. Despite this, it outlines that the risk can be worth it, and you can shape your own destiny.

Teenager, Chase Ambrose was on his roof, when all of the sudden he lost balance, slipped, and hit his head so hard that he lost his memory. Once Chase got the "all clear" to go to school again, he soon realized that the person that he used to be, wasn't anyone he was proud of, and that he has now changed for the better. The novel alternates chapters by character, and reveals how each one feels about Chase both before and after his accident.

2.)“This is an awful thing that’s happened to you, but it’s also presenting you with a rare opportunity. Although she is extremely intelligent, she is very lazy, applying to the University of Colorado instead of schools like Princeton, and constantly skips classes and does no more than what is asked of her. But, she has been, "blackmailed" as Charlie called it, into helping the CIA find one of Einstein's hidden equations before a terrorist group gets to it first. The terrorist group is very organized, and has some background information from an ex-KGB officer leading straight to Israel, while the CIA has a 12 year old genius who had to be blackmailed to help them. But sometimes our veils are pushed away for a few moments, like there's a wind blowing it from our faces. And when the veil lifts, we can see the world as it really is, just for those few seconds before it settles down again. We see all the beauty, and cruelty, and sadness, and love.

Greek Gods by Rick Riordan

1. Told by the perspective of a Percy Jackson, this book goes into a lot of depth about the stories of the 12 Olympians. This story is told by Percy’s perspective, so it is told in a modern and sassy way. Each Olympian has about of chapter about themselves, explaining their most famous myths and sometimes the beginning of their life. Famous stories like Hephaestus falling down cliff, Athena popping out of her moms head, and Persephone getting suck in the under world are covered in this book.

2. “So Aphrodite married Hephaestus and the celebrity ship Aphrophaestus completely dominated Olympian tabloid news for like a thousand years. Did they live happily ever after? HAHAHHAHA. No.” - Rick Riordan, Percy Jackson’s Greek Gods

3. I would definitely recommend this to someone who loves the Percy Jackson books, or who wants to learn more about Greek mythology. Sometime learning Greek mythology is boring and this is the complete opposite. If your just a Percy Jackson fan, you’d also love this because it goes more in-depth about the actual myths then the original books ever did.

This book is engaging and I liked it. The book is about a society that has powers and experienced an event where the gangs ruled Gatlon city for 20 years and caused chaos and destruction. The gangs were stopped by the Renegades, who had powers and were superheroes. The book is viewed from the different characters, who have different points of view. This makes the reader think about events and how the main characters feel about those events and the characters in them. For example Nova asks herself, ‘‘Who was he and where did he come from’’about Adrian. Because as a reader you also see Adrian’s perspective , and get Adrian’s information, you understand their choices and behavior.

She has to learn to make friends, adjust with her surroundings, and being use to working through day and night. She also needs to experience new people, and living without her family for years.

"She must work harder. She must earn all the money to pay for what they owed, so she could gather her family together back on the farm while she still had family left to gather" (Page 88).

I would recommend this book to anyone, who loves the importance of family, work, and determination. This book is also interesting to read about textile mill farms int the past. This overall is a very good book.

Harry Potter sorcerer's stone, JK Rowling. This book was a really good book. The book always had some action on each page. The book started out with Harry Potter living with his uncle and aunt and his life was miserable. Later in the story he was sent to Hogwarts and got into the Griffindore House. Then his life started to be a lot more fun and a little easier because he was actually famous. The author quotes "Harry didn't know what to say. Everyone was looking at him." (JK. Rowling 59). I would recommend this book because it has so much action and I really enjoyed reading this book.

Eragon by Christopher Paolini

1) This novel follows the journey of a young man named Eragon. Eragon lives in a medieval kingdom, ruled by a tyrant king, one day, on a hunting trip in a mysterious place called the Spire, he finds a shining blue stone. When he gets home, the egg hatches and out comes a dragon, and Eragon names her Saphira. As Eragon travels the world with his mentor Brom, he meets many new friends and enemies on his grand quest to defeat Galbatorix, and liberate the world from his tyranny. In this quadrilogy, he and Saphira are forced to face fearsome armies, search for ancient relics, and grow into a man.

2) “The greatest enemy is one that has nothing to lose.” (Paolini 346)

3) I would recommend this book to people who enjoy dragon books, action books, or just a good fiction story. This book is full of action and self discovery and every time I read it, it makes you really reflect on your own life.

Restart by Gordan Korman

Restart is about a boy named Chase Ambrose who fell out of the window of his house. He lost his memory in the impact and didn’t remember a thing about his old life. Before the impact, he was very popular and bullied kids at his school. He didn’t know this of course and was confused when many kids were afraid of him in the hallways of his school. During the book, he becomes enemies with his formal friends who continued in his old footsteps of bullying.

“Exactly how much of the Graybeard Hotel do you remember, Chase?” “Nothing,” I replied honestly. This quote teaches kids to not make stupid decisions like Chase did, but if you do make these decisions, don’t be a bully.

I would recommend this book to kids because it teaches many important lessons that can help kids become better people.re

He didnt have any friends and got bullied by a boy named Dana Matherson. Untill he met Beatrice and Mullet Fingers, they fought through basically every way a kid could go to save these owls.
2. "Like Yesterday," Roy went on, "when you tried to kill me in the janitors closet. Remember? You ended up getting whooped by a girl, striped naked, and strung to the flagpole." This quote shows that even the bullies can be bullied.

3. I would recommend this book to kids because it teaches kids not to just stand back when you believe in something.

She loved to wish and always wished when she had the chance. But that stopped on the day before the first day of school when she went to an antique shop with her pregnant mom. She met an old lady, and the old lady had given her some pennies for “good luck” She discovered that the lady is actually a wish stealer and gave her stolen wishes. She struggled through middle school with the stolen wishes, but at the end.. I’m not going to spoil it but she discovered how to make things right again with the stolen wishes.

“Shoot among the moon even if you miss, you will land among the stars”
(Chapter 7)

I loved this book so much that I read it almost more than 10 times.
