The best way of survival is to move to the land givin to them in the west. For example, "it is better to stay here surrounded by these embarrassments or to go back for a country where we may enjoy our own land?" Also, "moving will be far better than giving in to the laws of the [United States]."

We can agree that the Cherokee's best chance of survival was to relocate to land and set aside for them in the west because with the new rulers the Cherokee's nation can't be reestablished and their culture would be destroyed. According to Document B it states," If we stay we will witness the ruin of the Cherokee people." This shows that the Cherokee people don't want to witness the destruction of their own people and they know the new rulers are going to be stronger. Furthermore, they don't want to see everyone of their people dying and being killed.

Using the evedience we can agree that the best chance of survival is to relocate to land set aside for them in the west. Two pieces of evedience to support why we believe they should relocate is "if we stay we will witness the ruin of the Cherokee people". Another piece of evedience "is that they will not be able to regain there rights as a separate community.

Position B: The Cherokee Nation should move to the west.

Using the evidence, we can agree that the best chance of survival for the Cherokee in the early 1800's was to move to the west. This is supported in document B when it states that if they do not move then they will have to follow laws they did not help make or understand. Meaning, it is more likely that they will be punished if they break the laws that they did not understand to begin with. Document B also states that, "Is it better to stay here,...,or to look for a country where we may enjoy our own laws?" This quote implies that it would be better if the Cherokee followed their own laws than the laws of the U.S.

Using the evidence, we can agree that the Cherokee people should move. This is because we found that the Cherokee people believed that if they did not move, they would witness a destruction to their tribe. Also, another evidenc is that the Cherokee people know that they will not be able to regain their separate rights as a seperate community.

The chereokkees should relocate to the west. Because in document B it states," Even though we love the land of our fathers, we believe that moving wil be far better than giving into theblaws of the state." This explains how the chereokees thought it was the best for them to move that stay and follw the states laws. In document B it shows " we believe that they will not be able to regain their rights as separate community. "This describes how the chereokees knew they would loose their rights if they stayed on their land. The chereokees should relocate and move west. In conclusion, the chereokees should move to the west.
