Summary: Classroom Dynamics

In the article the author talked about how he was on a staff a few years back that encouraged teachers to take 4-8 weeks to build a classroom dynamic. He also talked about how they still used lesson plans and taught core courses but did it in a classroom dynamic building way by discussing what they were learning. I found his final quote to be very true "IT TOOK TIME! Valuable time, but valuable time well spent."

I find this article to be relevant in today's society because I think we get so involved in our phones and social media we refuse to build a group dynamic. We see it as we could just talk to that person in the group chat rather than going out of your way to build a personal relationship with them.

I find this article to be important because it can help teachers build those personal relationships among their students, and build up the dynamic of the classroom. It can also improve the student's ability to socialize. http://www.learningismessy.com/change/class-dynamics-and-culture-are-really-time-consuming-and-really-worth-every-minute/

Working in educational settings and seeing kids play on ipads instead of with each other, I agree that this article is important. As educators we should be an example to our students by working together and showing students that teachers work together too.

This article is VERY important and relevant. I think it is very important that students know how to socially interact with each other. This can be taken even further than just in education, but in life.

Over the last several years, standardized testing and technology have taken more and more control in the classroom. Because of that, face to face interactions have decreased and it is easier for students in classrooms to send something on Snapchat rather than talking to the person next to them. Establishing classroom dynamics is important so students will have the ability to get along with those different from them.

I think that building relationships with students is super important because current and future students are growing up in a society that is very much based on technology. Helping students learn how to break down those technology barriers will greatly impact the relationships of students and teachers.

This article is very important especial yin today's society. Like you mention, we get way too caught up in our phones and do not take that time to get to know each other face-to-face. I think as future educators, we need to be able to know our students. Not only will it help us when teaching but it will help our students gain trust in us. We are not just there to educate but we are there to help our students grow.
