- Despite this devastating event, she recently regained custody of her father, a well-known engineer in the town. 

- The registration form for the school indicated that she has been identified as an exceptional student through the Identification, Placement, and Review Committee (IPRC) and has an Individual Education Plan (IEP). 

- She has ongoing health issues, including ear infections and developmental coordination disorder. 

- Although she is higher functioning on the autism spectrum, she has limited verbal communication skills and requires support with most activities. 

- On occasion, she experiences emotional outbursts due to trouble with self-regulation.
