Most people would assume rich people get the best of the best, but Walter knows that the rich people around them aren't flashy about it. Walter's ambition is both his strength and his weakness. Walter knows what he wants, but wants it too quickly. Rather than making an actually good plan to achieve his goals, he acts impulsively, causing chaos. This is like when people have a bonfire, it is a good thing when it is contained in a small area.
