I think it was quite challenging for my fellow friends that have microteaching on that day. surprisingly, they manage to do their microteaching excellently. They have shown their characteristic of effective teacher which is flexible. The voice projection also has improved than last week but still need to practice more. As for the teaching aid, they have a very creative and interesting teaching aid especially Zafri. I think we can teach better in the future with a good teaching aid because it really helps students to understand more and see clearly the process. Besides, their time management is quite good and i think we need to learn it from them how to manage to settle the microteaching within 20 minutes smoothly. At the end of the session,Sir Furkan give some comments about their presentation. Hence, we have to improved it in the future. Sir Furkan also give chance to our classmates to give some comments for them. Sir also asked everyone to write a comment for each individual that have done their microteaching to help them improve their teaching method and what so on. Zafri also personally advise that we need to really prepared and be flexible. It covers 4 chapters. The test is quite confusing for me. For the MCQ question, i think the stem is quite long and it was so hard for me to understand what is the question about. Besides, the multiple choice for the answer is so tricky. For the structure question, i think it was just nice and demand our critical thinking. All science student was given task to handle the program. On Wednsday, October 10, sir Furkan gave us some motivational talk. He start by asking us whether we still have desire to be a teacher or not and the reason why. As for me, i still want to be a teacher because i think i like teaching even though sometimes i am not feeling confident because of my grammar. Therefore, i think i have to practice to try use English language when talking to my friends. He had cover 2 chapter which is curriculum evaluation and curriculum development division. Curriculum evaluation is importance to review and revise the existed curriculum based on its strength and weakness. These help to maintain and sustain the quality and quantity of the program. Next, we also study about the CIPP model. On Wednesday, our class start our first microteaching, there are many things that i learn during the process of microteaching. For example, i think that well preparation is most important things before doing the microteahing and we need to be flexible by vary the teaching delivery method and activities. Furthermore, time management i also important. i can see that some of my classmate are exceed from the time given for us and some of them are too fast. Those model was a little bit difference with the Tyler's model. Instructional model is more flexible than Tyler's model because it allows the curriculum developer to change the order of planning, and thus, not restricted by a fixed procedure. Next, Taba's consist of 7 steps that begin with diagnosis of needs. in Taba's model, it not start with the objective. As she believe that the demand for education in a particular society should be study first while Tyler's model lays the main stress on aims, evaluation and control. One of the strength of Taba's model that i like is the one who teaching the curriculum will develop it. therefore, it was easier for them to understand and implement the curriculum. Besides, we learn about contemporary model that consist of 5 steps. Sir Furkan give a lecture about the qualities of an effective teacher. One of the qualities of an effective teachers is teacher need to be prepared and have clear goals for teaching. Since we have start doing our lesson plan, i can see that lesson plan was one of the preparation to be an effective teacher. This is because we can see a clear goal of teaching and we know what we want to teach and how the class will be conducted. Besides, we have to physically and mentally prepared. Hence, the classroom will be well-organised, ordered and attractive. We also learn about curriculum and instruction more detail. We also get to understand the flow of education system in Malaysia and we know the aim of Curriculum Development Division(CDD). Next, we study about curriculum development that consist of 3 main stages which is planning, implementation and evaluation. In this course, there are 4 models of curriculum construction will be discussed and we have go through 1 of the curriculum construction which is The Tyler's or Objective model. We do not have class on Monday because of public holiday to celebrate Hari Malaysia. Hence, we only have class on Wednesday,19 September 2018. We have learn  on how to planning the lesson plan. Sir Furkan told us that the lesson plan at school may be more simpler and vary depends on the school. We are given the soft copy of RPH(lesson plan) and sir taught us how to complete the lesson plan step by step. He remind us to always write the day,date and title of the topic that we want to teach our student every time after we have done our induction set or after the introduction. This is to make sure the students can focus on the topic and are on the right track. He also told us to divide the whiteboard into several section to make sure the notes that we write on the whiteboard is organize and easy for our students to understand. Furthermore, sir show us some example on how to do set induction to grab student's interest. Next, we learn about new things which is success criteria. It was almost the same with learning outcome but it actually have some differences. Success criteria is more detailed than the lesson plan. its must be show to the student and it can be used as a guideline to assess our students. Lastly, he show us on how to wrap up the class. Next, our instructor show us DSKP and curriculum specification for form 1 until form 5. We have to print it out for our guideline and reference. There are learning outcome in the DSKP and we discussed about the time management to achieve the learning outcome. Our first class is on Monday, 3 September 2018 at DKF2, Faculty of Pharmacy. Together with students from other class and course, we were given the introduction about this course from our instructor which is Sir Muhamad Furkan Bin Mat Salleh. We do not have final exam for this course but we have a few assignment to get an A for this course. We will have 2 test, microteaching, article review, e-portfolio and course design. Sir Furkan and Sir Hisyam give us a copy of assessment guideline and evaluation rubric for our assignment through out this semester. They also remind us that we need to give back the evaluation rubric. We were given first task which is we need to find an article that relate to curriculum and instruction and make an article review. Our title of the article must be not the same with our classmate and we have to do it for 3 pages. The due date of this assignment is on third week. We need to check the article with our instructor on the first week to make sure we choose the right article and does not have the same title as our classmate. Sir Furkan also give a briefing about our group project which is course design project. During the class, Sir Furkan asked about the characteristic of effective teacher and taught us about how to become and effective teacher. We had learn 2 topics which is Instructional Objective and Instructional Materials: Principles, Design and Utilization. Objective must be observable and measurable. Robert Mager emphasized that objectives of learning need to be specific in term of student behavior, testing situation and performance criteria. We also cover on Bloom's Instructional Objective that have been divided into 3 domains which is cognitive domain, psychomotor domain and affective domain. Sir explain to us on every domain. Next, we learn on the need of using instructional material that will help effective learning by providing students the opportunity to see, hear and do. We need to learn and practice using technologies nowadays to make our class more interesting and grab students attention to learn. It also helps to promote a better understanding on what they have learned. Besides, we learn about ASSURE MODEL that can be guidance for teacher to utilize and use instructional material and assure effective use of audiovisual aids in instruction. I teach Biology Form 5 on the topic of Inheritance. On that day, I am so nervous but I managed to calm down myself. During the set induction, I feel like I cannot control my nervous and I feel like always preventing from making eye contact with everyone. I just look at some people that I comfortable with to help me relax. Next I start give my introduction and start put up my teaching aid and, write the day and date and the topic. Then I start teach about the ABO Blood group system. I choose to teach on how to identify the characteristic of every blood and I asks my students to give me the answer. Therefore, I can see how far their understanding on what I have taught them. Some of them are getting the answer and some of them are still blur. I am getting comfortable in the class and forget my nervous. All off my plan running smoothly from set induction to the conclusion. During the students asks question, Sir Furkan mention that I look not confident to answer the question. I think its true because I am trying to recall what I remember and I always think is it true or not. But I manage to answer the question with the right answer. On the supervisor's comment it states that I have a commendable teaching aid and my conclusion were going thoroughly. Unfortunately, Sir Furkan want me to improve in term of voice projection and enthusiasm in my delivery. I also need to give equal attention to audience. I admit that sometimes I forgot to make engagement with the students that seat and the back but I had try to make engagement during the game to make sure they are truly understand on what I am teaching.
