In the book Towers Falling, the author wants the reader to know that Deja, the main character, is protective. A piece of evidence to support this, on page five is "I walk down the halls of Avalon fists ready." This shows that she is protective because she is ready to defend herself in any case. She is not only protective of herself but also her family, mostly her brother and sister Ray and Leda. On page twelve, the author states " I've got to be responsible and take care of Ray and Leda because Pop is al

Readers are starting to think that Erica is gullible. Readers think this because on page twenty four, it states "He did scare me." "He wasn't lying Daniel, I could tell." This shows that even when Daniel told Erica it wasn't true, Erica was scared by something that he thought wasn't true.

One character trait to describe the character Bench would be hard, I know this because on page 22 the author states "The cool thing about Bench is that he doesn't mind that he's not good at any of the three sports that he plays, he still enjoys them." This shows that even though Bench may not be good at sports, that does not stop him from playing them, this also appears in other parts of the book, showing that it didn't happen only once and it was a feeling, but it happened many other times, showing that it was a trait.

Posted by John David Anderson

I think a character trait for Bridge is strong. I think this because she survived a car crash and she has to deal with kids being rude and mean to her every day. On page 3 it states, "Thirteen broken bones and a punctured lung. You must have been put on this earth for a reason, little girl, to have survived." This shows how strong Bridge must be to had lived through something like that, and then living with the fear that it might happen again.

Far From Fair by Elana K. Arnolds

In the book "Far From Fair," the main character Oddette experiences a lot of discomforts mentally. This is shown through the quote, "things were different lately. And different, to Oddette, was not comfortable". This quote was on page 41.
This quote shows Oddette's discomfort in the RV she was now living in, but also the discomfort she was feeling with her parents. The book explains her parents were suddenly getting along, "oblivious that the world was falling around them". Or in other words, they acted as if everything was okay.
The author probably included this part to state how Oddette's whole life was changing, and how it affected her; which in this case, was a negative impact on her life.
This also shows the character is experiencing an internal pressure of discomfort, and now that the readers know this, we can better understand Oddette as a character and what she is going through.

In the text "Five Feet Apart" an external pressure for Stella is when her sister is already dead. Also, her mom and dad went through "the most ridiculous divorce ever". We know Stella is experiencing the pressure when the authors states on page 41, "His face appears in the screen as he puts his thick-rim glasses over his tired eyes. I notice that he's still in his pajamas, his graying hair jutting out in every direction, a lumpy pillow propped up behind him." and "The worry starts to slowly wrap itself tighter around my insides." Maybe the authors included this because they needed to show that she scared for her parents as well as their well being's now and later.
Five Feet Apart By: Mikki Daughtry, Rachael Lippincott, and Tobias Iaconis.

In the book Big Game by Stuart Gibbs, the main character, Teddy, feels pressured by his classmates to tell a secret. For example, on p. 8, the character states, “I gave into peer pressure. I didn’t want to be a dork, and if I didn’t say anything, Summer probably would have told everyone anyhow.” This evidence shows that peer pressure can be a powerful force on a character, causing him to reveal a secret even though he knew it was wrong. Revealing the secret can cause a new problem for Teddy.

In the book Unwind by Neal Shusterman, Risa proves herself as smart. On page 94 it says, "Then she dips the spoon into the milk and spills the spoonful into the baby's mouth." From that the baby stops crying. Risa also proves herself as smart by thinking herself and Connor out of trouble. This is very important to the story because without Risa (and her smartness) they would not survive.
