We pre-record maths, English and wider curriculum lessons and upload them each day. This way, the children in school have the same teaching as the children at home. We share the maths and English planning and video recording in year groups and the wider curriculum planning and video recording across the phase. This way, children can see their own teachers and also other teachers!
Everyday, a recorded story read by different teachers and TAs in the key stage is uploaded.

Class Dojo is also a great way to communicate with parents and build a Porfolio of their children's learning.

Our Weekly Zoom meetings have been a popular way to keep in touch and bond together as a class again. We have some quick and fun ideas to share to engage younger children during class meets.

We have had very positive feedback from parents about the ease of access to each lesson we have produced. We have recorded most of our lessons by Loom and given direct links to any tasks without a pre-recorded video. We post the link to the Google Drive each morning which has everything they need for the day in there. We have also done a weekly Zoom meeting for all Y1 children. The purpose of this has been purely social and emotional.

Class Dojo, Loom, Short Live Lessons

We have been using Class Dojo to set remote learning. Initially, we have been posting work to the Class Story. Parents have been responding to tasks by posting pictures/videos of their child's learning into their portfolios or by direct message. As we get braver, we would like to explore how to set children individual tasks via their portfolio. This will be useful when the children return to school and we have individual cases of self isolation.

We also use Loom to record individual lessons - recording our screens and speaking alongside our flipcharts or presentations. This gives us the option to film ourselves on camera or just to record our voices.

Similarly, we have been recording ourselves teaching lessons on our laptops/tablets/phones and then uploading the videos to our school YouTube account. We then publish the videos as 'unlisted' so that they are not available on the wider internet.

Finally, we have started to do short live lessons through Google Meets. These meetings last about 15 minutes and are a great chance to see the children and have some interaction with them. We have held live story sessions, phonics game, short assemblies etc and we plan to use this method to deliver interventions if possible in the future.
