Be sure to the include the following:

• Introduce yourself and briefly explain your language portrait.

• Explain how ELD/ESOL has contributed positively or negatively to your language identity.

• State whether or not you feel that you belong in ELD/ESOL class.

• Give at least three reasons why you feel that you do or do not belong in an ELD/ESOL class

You should:

- Say what your name is

- Look up the meaning of your name and share the meaning of it

- Tell why you were given your name

- Say how your name is pronounced. If people often mispronounce your name, you can say include an explanation of what your name is not, and how people should actually say it.

1. A description of your figure.

2. An explanation of the duality of ELD (how and why it has two sides)

3. Where you feel like your language experiences falls on the Janus figure.

Upload a photo of your Janus figure.

Look carefully at your WIDA Goals Graph and make a recording about your plans for the WIDA test.  

• Describe your goals for the upcoming test.

• What surprises you about the graph?

• What frustrates you about the graph?

• Where do you think you could see the most growth on the WIDA test?

• What strategies will you use to take the test to ensure that you exit?

• How will using these strategies be helpful?

Look at the AHS graph and the Arizona graph and record yourself discussing what you see in the data.

Your recording must include the following:

- An introduction of the two data pieces you’re looking at.  

- An explanation of what you are seeing in the data.

- A description of any trends that you are seeing in the data.

- A comparison of the AHS data with the data from Arizona.

- An explanation of at least one thing that concerns you about the data.
