Day 1: Arrival in Tokyo

Last year, my friend and I took an incredible trip to Japan. We boarded the plane early in the morning and arrived in Tokyo in the afternoon. The first day was a bit challenging because, after we landed, our luggage was delayed for two hours at the airport. We were worried, but it eventually arrived. Once we had our bags, we checked into our hotel in Shibuya. The bright lights and busy streets were amazing. That evening, we explored the area, crossed the famous Shibuya Crossing, and ate some delicious sushi at a small restaurant. It was the perfect start to our adventure.

On the second day, we took the Shinkansen to Kyoto. The bullet train was incredibly fast, and the ride itself was an experience. Kyoto was much more peaceful than Tokyo. We spent the day visiting Fushimi Inari Shrine and walking through its long path of red tori gates. Later, we visited the Golden Pavilion (Kinkaku-ji), which was breathtaking with its golden reflection on the water. That evening, we had a traditional kaiseki dinner, and the food was both unique and delicious.

On the last day, we returned to Tokyo and spent the morning at Senso-ji Temple in Asakusa. We also shopped on Nakamise Street, where we bought souvenirs for our families. In the afternoon, we visited Akihabara, the electronics district. We spent hours looking at gadgets and anime stores. It was a fun way to end our trip before heading home the next day.
