We expect to hire up to 150 tutors for this program. Tutors will be selected based on their existing connection to YTT, referrals from YTT tutors and trusted staff, and completion of all required onboarding tasks. We are expecting to serve up to 2,000 students.

Do we need any supplies? Will we be trained ?

All curriculum materials will be provided, as well as digital manipulatives. Tutors must provide their own laptop or computer (no phones), a computer mouse, headphones (if preferred), and a secondary monitor (if preferred, but highly encouraged).

Tutors will receive a 45-minute (unpaid) tech training and a 90-minute (paid) virtual orientation.

$15 for the live tutoring session is correct. Planning is calculated per student, not per session. You'll receive 2 total hours of planning per student ($64 per student)

There are 2 paid options for virtual orientation (June 26/30) and one unpaid make-up session (July 2). If you are unable to attend one of the 3, you will not be able to participate in virtual tutoring.

I see there have been kids assigned to me, but the one kid is late in the evening on Friday since I said I was available all day. How can I change my hours?

Students are assigned according to the availability you shared on your interest survey. Once students have been assigned, you can either confirm your participation or refute and we'll assign your students to a new tutor. You will not be assigned a new group of students.

The Google Form reads that we will tutor between July 7th and July 31st, but I believe it was mentioned the in training that just ended that the program ends in August...what are the exact dates? (I am updating my availability)

In Lessonspace, will all my students be able to see all the whiteboards I have open? If so, how are sessions and exit tickets supposed to be differentiated for each student- especially the ones that have the same grade level and potentially the same exit ticket?

Tutors should wait 15 mins and then mark the student as absent on the session tracker and Focus. In Teachworks, the session should be marked as missed.

If students missed today's session during the next time that the log in do we give them the pre-assessment first and then continue if there is time with lesson for session we are on?

The Scope and Sequence for Grade 5 (Rising 6), Week 2, Session 5 states that students will review how to "apply volume formulas for rectangular prisms to solve real-world problems (5.MD.5b)", but the lesson slides are on finding area and perimeter. I presume that we will proceed with the slides (volume is not assessed on the pre or post), but I do not want parents or BCPS to think that a different skill was taught and assessed (not sure who looks at the document). Please advise.

How do we have a productive session if student is using phone instead of laptop?

A phone is not ideal, but definitely manageable! Students can still interact with your screen, follow through with lessons, and complete their exit ticket- it's just not as magnified as a laptop.

Grade 3 to Grade 4: (Session 10) and Grade 4 to 5: (Session 2) I am unable to download a copy of the exit ticket to save to my computer. This is the only one I had an issue with

How are we supposed to administer the exit ticket? The answer key is on the 2nd page, and if we share it with the student using cobrowser, they have the answer. Also, some of the exit tickets don't match the content that is covered in the lesson. For example, Grade 3, lesson 2.

You should not be using cobrowser for exit tickets. You must upload them as a PDF to your whiteboard. Please see tech training recording for instructions.

I checked Grade 3, lesson 2 and don't see the discrepancy. Please share a link to any errors you see and we'll get it fixed.

The lesson slides teach students how to relate equal groups to arrays. However, question 2 on the exit ticket asks, "28 books are divided into 4 equal groups. Show the number of books in each group using a number bond. Write a division sentence that represents the number bond."

There are no slides in the lesson that address this, all of practice problems on the slides are multiplication, and none of the vocabulary included on the teacher preparation slide or the student I Can statements discuss number bonds.
