Both pairs of sides are parallel and congruent, and all angle measures add up to 360 degrees. Opposite interior angles are also always congruent. The area of a parallelogram can be calculated by using the formula base*height.
     A parallelogram is a rectangle when all angle measures are 90 degrees.
     A parallelogram is a rhombus when all side lengths are equal.
     A parallelogram is a square when all angle measures are 90 degrees AND all side lengths are equal.
