They were so ruthless they looked like tigers clawing away<ul><li>"The 'Tiger' nickname of the 10th originates from a division-wide contest held while it was training in the United States, symbolizing the division 'clawing and mauling'its way through the enemy."</li></ul></li><li>Slogan was "Terrify and destroy"</li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>Founded July 15th 1944</li><li>Reached the port Cherbourg on September 23 1944</li><li>Left Teurtheville Oct 25th with only a month of training and went to battle</li><li>Mid-November the division went on the offensive  and headed north of the Metz</li><li>December 17th 1944 the division was order to head towards Bastonge<ul><li>The Division covered 75 miles in one day to reach The Bulge</li><li><br></li></ul></li><li>20, February, 1945 they began clearing the Saar-Moselle triangle</li><li>28, March they captured Oehringen and Heilbronn, crossed the Rems and Fils Rivers, and reached Kirchheim, </li><li>The Division crossed the Danube, 23-25 April, and took Oberammergau.</li><li>Reached the famed "Redoubt," and had reached Innsbruck by the time war ended in Europe</li></ul>]]></description>

The 10th Armored Division arrived at Bastogne on 18 Dec ember 1944, and defended the city and points east for more than 24 hours before the 101st Airborne Division arrived."</div><ul><li>The work of the division was recongnized with a Presidential Unit Citation</li><li>Tiger division received 5 distinguished unit awards among many individual awards:<ul><li>Distinguished Cross Award = 19 awarded</li><li>Distinguished Service Medal =1 awarded</li><li>Silver Star = 412 awarded</li><li>Legion Merit = 20 awarded</li><li>Distinguished Flying Cross =2 awarded</li><li>Soldier's Medal = 25 awarded</li><li>Bronze Star Medal =2,578 awarded</li><li>Air Medal = 29 awarded</li></ul></li></ul>]]></description>
