Carnation factory in Modesto, California showed us the perfect example of organisational effectiveness. let’s view the company from various perspectives through which the company was able to achieve both efficiency and effectiveness.

1: open system perspective

There was a problem of water shortage in Modesto, the factory was able to maintain a close fit with the changes in conditions of surroundings. Thus, long term saving its resources rather than drawing on the local sources at higher prices in years to come.

2: Organisational learning perspective
As mentioned earlier they were following a standard operating procedure but they were ready to unlearn the process and ready to follow the new operating procedures to save its resources up to impact on the environment and give back to the community.

3: Internal subsystem
Factory successfully planted a recycling system of water. saving 70 percent reduction in city water during 2016 and 100 percent in 2020. This process saved factory resources and ensures efficient production.

4: Stakeholder perspective
As employees are from the same community in which the factory is operating it gave them back 70 million gallons of water in 2020. This makes the factory in the spotlight of an environment-friendly factory and potential investors would take part in the business. From a consumer point of view, an environment-friendly product is worth buying.

5: Organisation citizenship behaviour
CEO stepped out and went beyond his formal duties and from his approach factory was able to operate efficiently, able to generate high profit with less waste while building a strong relationship with its customer, employees, and potential investors.
