A film about terminal illness. It explores two young people who are ill and fall in love while having to maintain distance due to their conditions. I want to use the ideas of forgetting about the conditions - they get lost in each other to the point where they don't have to focus on their deterioration.

Explore the loss of a beard - a change in masculinity and how the man is perceived. A man losing his beard could represent freedom, or maybe a newfound softness in character. it could also represent a loss of stubbornness, like in Me Before You (2016). Will's beard being shaven after developing a liking to Lou shows that she allows Will to feel like a 'man' as he no longer felt like one as a quadraplegic.
