         <description><![CDATA[<div>Salmonella is one of the most common pathogens; However only 40,000 cases are reported yearly. Salmonella is more of a common household name to many. Salmonella is a name that many fear due to lack of precautions taken by cooks, or other food preparation workers. Salmonella can be easily prevented in most cases if all precautions are taken. If no precautions are taken, then the consumer may face dire consequences.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

Foods such as chicken, undercooked meat, and eggs are only examples of causative agents. Salmonella is caused after the consumption of food that has been in contact with animal feces, undercooked, cross-contaminated, and more. If ingested,&nbsp;Salmonella can cause a variety of symptoms.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Salmonella symptoms arise within 6 hours-6 days within consumption. These symptoms can last between four to seven days after symptoms first appear. Most common symptoms are nausea, vomiting, fever, and diarrhea. Symptoms can be resolved quicker with the use of antibiotics.  Few cases can result in hospitalization.   </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Salmonella is known as Salmonella but causes Salmonellosis once ingested. The name given to the pathogen once contracted by humans is named Salmonella Typhi. As stated, the pathogen is acquired by ingestion. Anyone who ingests contaminated food is subject to the disease. It is stated that 40,000 cases are reported every year, although, the CDC suspects there could be 30,000 times more that go unreported. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The most common treatment is typically administered between the first 24-48 hours after signs and symptoms begins. The best treatment for salmonella is antibiotics. Antibiotics can be administered by a doctor after determining the severity of the case. Other remedies include antidiarrheals, painkillers, probiotics, and hydrating beverages. In some severe cases, hospitalization may occur due to dehydration or internal damage caused by the bacteria. </div>]]></description>
