For a place to have "character", it has features that stand out from other places. It also is something memorable to you. I don't remember anywhere in particular that specifically stood out to me, but one place that is particularly memorable for me is the sleep-away camp that I've been going to for a few years. It stands out for me because I feel like I am at home there.

I think that a place that has a character is a place with lots of little charms and quirks that makes you think of who it could be as a person. A place I think has character is the Half-Price Books that used to be in Rice Village. It was very dusty and smelled like books and was full of old things and felt very nostalgic. I used to want to live upstairs there.

A place has character when the people in the region are unique. It has a soul. A memorable place was Caddo Lake. It had a southern/country character. The people there would sing karaoke, drink beer, smoke, and dance. Also, another place is KSP. It is when Russian people gather in the forest and sing bard songs next to fires, while roasting marshmallows. I used to run around the forest with my friends at night, playing murder mysteries with swords' and glowsticks.

I've been to the molly brown house of the titanic survivor that never needed to risk her life because fun fact she only got on because she thought she would never see her brother again but it was only the common cold and he survived. but to walk into a house of somebody who has survived such a remarkable time in history to walk in her footsteps

Characters have a backstory. That does not change weather it is alive or not. For a place to have character it is to have the place to have a backstory and have a 'face.' That face is basically a stationary picture of a place and vibe (?) or feel a place gives off. Technically, every place has character, but a place I feel is especially characteristic, and that is my home. I have spent my whole life here, through Hurricane Harvey, school, through floods and storms, and I feel that for example when the house got renovated, it got new clothes. I think my house is memorable because I have spent my whole life here.

It needs to have a very original sorta vibe to it, you know?

I have been to a place about it, and let me tell you, it is so pretty. My grandmas garden is the most charactered place I have ever known.

What can make it memorable? This might sound crazy, but I feel like I'm getting closer to my grandma by see all her plants grow. Not like, ghost voodoo stuff. Just...maybe her perspective on life. When sunlight kisses all the flowers, and shines through all the green trees- its just so so peaceful. Nothing can compare.

I think when place's have character you're less likely to forget them because something specific about it just stuck.

I think for a place to have character, it has to be unique. Not like 'a city', but instead 'a town of machines more than people'. I think that the inhabitants have to have character also, so that they all kind of imprint it on the place. I haven't really been to anywhere that has given me a big impression, except for when I went on a vacation to France (I think) with my friend and we were playing in tall sunflowers. We were really short and young at the time, so we were completely hidden underneath the flowers. I think the way I enjoyed it so much and I was there with my friends, as well as the fact that was the first time that I saw sunflowers, made that make such an impression on me. I haven't seen sunflowers since, so I guess that might have helped too.

When a place has character, it is significant. It's when you can define it or describe it like it is a person. The place has character when people have given sentimental attachment to it. Or when people have made memories there. Those memories are what give the place character. It is a "vibe" that everyone gets from that place.
It doesn't have to be an old place in my opinion. It can be brand new. When you walk in you'll get a feeling of shinning floors, bright colored walls, new paved cement, clear glass, and the fresh smell of paint. That can give it character;
I think my church has character to it. I have grown up in there. I have feeling once I enter the doors. It's character has changed over time as I see how most of the people in it change. Also, the Houston Rodeo has great character. You see how everyone is more "free" and everyone is happy to be there. All of Houston have made memories there

A place has character is when it has a certain vibe. I would say that the history and the people in that place give that place it's character, not the nonliving things that fill it. I think New York City has a certain character to it and I've visited there twice if I'm not mistaken. New York City has always been this own little pocket in the USA that is on a whole different level. It seems as if there's a whole different culture, a whole different country there. You've got the heavy traffic, the tall buildings, the constant food trucks and busy streets. It's the city that never sleeps, and that personification has been used constantly over the years to describe the over all vibe of it. I think it'll be one of the most memorable places I'll ever visit, even if living there isn't for me.
