                        The Aztecs from 1325 to 1425 they worked for a powerful group called the Tepanecs. Thru out the time they were in an alliance with Tepanecs, they gained land,  trading connections, and wealth.

They went from a island to the land by making land bridges called causeways. in Tenochtitlan was very technological advanced for the time, they had twin irrigation pipes. they also had a dam to hold back the flood waters.
The Aztecs built a giant ceremonial plaza,
inside of the plaza there a pyrimidine that  was 150 feet tall. they used the ceremonial plaza for religious rituals, feasts, and  festivals.

collecting tribute was a very vital job for the empire.  Cities might pay in food, cacao, gems, cotton, cloth, animals, animal skins, shells, building materials, or even soldiers.
