1) أولا الرقم 360  اكثر رقم قابل للقمسة من قبل العديد من الارقام , في الواقع انه قابل للقسمة من قبل 24 رقم 
و هذا يجعل من العدد 360 عدد سهل العمل معه في حالات مختلفة , مثلا : يمكنك بسهولة تقسيم وجه الساعة التناظرية الى 12 ساعة عن طريق تعيين 30 درجة لكل ساعة و نصف درجة لكل دقيقة.

وفيما بعد كان ذلك التقسيم يلائم البابليين الذين عاشوا في نفس المنطقة بعدها بألفي عام ، حيث كانوا يعتمدون على النظام الشمسي 60 درجة في العد والتقسيم و الذي يسمى الآن نظام  sexagisimal  و الذي يعتمد على الرقم 60 كقاعدة اساسية لانه اكثر واسهل رقم قابل للتقسيم وهم الذين قسموا المثلث متساوي الاضلاع الى ثلاث زوايا كل منها 60 درجة وذلك باستخدام نفس النظام وبضم ست زوايا متساوية تنشأ الدائرة المقسمة الى 360 درجة وفقاً لما قرره السومريون .
