My name is Gabriela, I'm 20 years old and I'm from Puerto Rico. I moved to Florida back in 2013 i believe, so almost 10 years.  

A fun fact about me is that I learned all of the countries flags and I’m learning the territories flags. I haven’t practiced them in awhile but I’m confident I remember them. It took me about two weeks to learn them all. Another fun fact about me is that I change my hairstyle and hair color often. Ive been dyeing my hair since 2017. The first hair color I had was red tips and the most recent was a light pink with light blue streaks scattered around. My favourite hair color, and style, I had was a half blonde half brown wolfcut! Ive been wanting to go back to that hair color but it was a bit difficult to maintain but I looked so cool. 🤭

I really like listening to music. I would give any genre a chance so if anyone has any recommendations, I will definitely give them a listen. :)

What caught my attention as well is when the speaker said that the access to energy impacts other factors in daily life. It was also mentioned that we should improve our energy efficiency and responsibly use natural resources to improve life quality. I think that's a great idea to use the renewable sources instead of burning toxic fumes into our atmosphere. With how the population grows, more and more of the energy is needed and thus more fumes will be released making life harder for future generations. 

This video was very informational and concerning. I personally didn't know floods happened like that to that level without rain. I also found it concerning that the governor or state officials know about such a thing and completely ignore it. They are basically waiting for Miami to be completely flooded before they consider doing anything to even help. 

I personally never got the hype of SHEIN and online stores. i do understand people yearn to possess things and for as cheap as some of the items are its great deal but if its a one-use item i don't see the point. I would rather save up to get one good item than have to buy multiple of an item because its bad quality. Since its a bad quality item, it gets trashed as soon as it breaks which just adds to the green house emmisions the fashion industry is responsible for.

In this lecture it starts off with a man named Jerry Ivanoff, a commercial fisherman and hunter in Unalakleet, Alaska, explaining his childhood and what he remembers from his land. Ivanoff states that he fears for the future generations for the lack of ice and snow and its affects on the animals and fish they depend on. In the lecture they show the Artic report Card Workshop in Nome, Alaska. They explain that it is a opportunity for the indigenous people along the Bering Sea Coast to share their experiences with the impacts brought on by climate change. A scientist stated that for the Arctic Report they used to bring in one or two indigenous experts but now they are including more indigenous people to say their experiences. 

The main idea i got from the lecture is that we all have to come together to stop climate change from changing the arctic to where animals can't survive. Without those animals, the indigenous people on that land will not be able to survive.
