The contradiction in the article ‘What is a GMO?’ is in the fact that at the top-right of the info graphic it states; “GMO is not: Plants and animals that are traditionally bred to achieve specific characters …” But on the middle - left of the graphic it says; “Genetic modification may include the addition of DNA from species that would not breed in nature”. The second paraphrase means that GMOs can be genetically modified species that can’t be modified that way in nature. But the first paraphrase specifies that GMOs are not plants and animals are modified by men and not by nature. So we can see that this two statements contradict each other because they express the opposite information.

A contradiction among source a itself is located on the tab "GMOs and World Hunger." Under the subheading "Fact 2:," the text states that "The majority of GM crops are not being used for food." On the lines following that, the text states that "The main uses of genetically engineered crops are 1)feeding meat animals..., and 3)Producing food additives use in processed junk foods..." These informations are contradicting each other because, while the original quote was saying that these are not mentioned as to the purpose of GMOs, the text fails to recognize that it is implied because it is an ingredient and is being used to feed carnivores anyways. Furthermore, it also says on the graphic provided on the "GMO Info" tab that "30,000 different

The contradiction in this article ‘The Battle Over GMOs’ is that on paragraph #10 it explains: “(Between 1996 and 2011, bug-killing corn reduced insecticide use in corn production by 45% worldwide)”. This allows us to know that GMOs help reduce the use of insecticides which are widely known to be harmful to the environment. But on paragraph #1 we can read; “Herbicide- resistant crops have allowed farmers to use more herbicides to kill weeds…. Monarch butterfly population has decreased by 90% because their food source, a weed... has been decimated.

This article contains bias against people who could possibly support gmo and gmo in general. The text only includes information that goes against gmo and why it's bad, and fails to provide any information from the opposing side. This unbalance of information makes the article extremely biased
