      <description>A Delaware-based educator, Stephen V. Caswell brings over 25 years of experience to his role as a special education teacher for the Capital School District in Dover. He joined the district in 2013. Stephen V. Caswell serves as part of the teaching staff of its Students Transitioning towards Adult Readiness (STAR) program, which helps 11th- and 12th-grade students with disabilities prepare for the transition to adulthood. In this capacity, he teaches courses on literacy, math, daily-living skills, and vocational readiness.

Prior to Capital School District, Stephen Caswell held special education teaching roles with districts in Maryland and Virginia. He began his career in the early 1990s as a special education teacher and sports coach with the Copenhagen School District in New York. In preparation for his work, he attained a bachelor of science in special education from SUNY Buffalo State College. Mr. Caswell went on to earn graduate degrees in reading and educational leadership and administration.</description>
