Maniac Magee- aka Jeffery lionel Magee; protagonist 

Aunt Dot and Uncle Dan-   Relatives who took Jeffery in after his parents  died. They do not like each other, therefore they do not speak to each other.

Amanda Beale- She was the first person in Two Mills to talk to Maniac; She is black; She is probably somewhere around 3-5th grade; She likes books because she carries her entire library to school everyday; Has a little brother and sister and a dog;
McNab- Red Socks pitcher; only pitches fastballs;pitches a lot of foul balls; has everybody grab the things  he wants ;

Mars Bar- he has his own candy bar; he has a glare that nobody can beat; 

Beale Family- Their are Mrs and Mr. Beale then you have Hester and Lester; Hester is 4 and Lester is 3;Lester and Hester would not take a bath since Amanda refused to take a bath with them;

Gayson- Is old; is either the baseball coach or assistant;
