Water Pollution is when things are dumped into the water, contaminating it and making it unuable for drinking, cooking, washing, etc. There are many ways that water can be polluted including having garbage thrown nto it, oil spills, and chemicals spilling.

Water Pollution greatly effects the environment in many ways, but one big one is killing sea life. Anything that swims in the water can easily die because of pollution in many ways. For example, if you throw garbage in the water, a reptileor bird could easily mistake it for food, and choke and die on it. Also, an oil or chemical spill could drench reptiles and because it is toxic, it could kill them. There is nothing good that comes from Water Pollution, or harmful and fatal things.

There are many things that people could do to help deal with Water Pollution. Some of them take a long time, fancy materials, and strong equipment, but others are quick and small changes that can make a huge difference. One example of this is not bringing single use plastics, metals, glass, etc. out into the water with you, on a boat or floatie, because this is the easiest way that garbage gets left in the water. Whether it falls in or people throw it in or it falls off, it happens all the time. Another great way to help with water pollution is to participate in ocean/beach clean ups, so if pollution does happen at least you are helping get it out of the water. There are two simple, quick ways to deal with it, but there are so many others that, if we all help, can possibkly even eliminate over 50% of water pollution around the world.

Modify

I think that water pollution is modifying the environment. It is changing the water and what is in the water, and it is not changing it for the better. We need to modify the water back to how it was before oil spills and pollution in order to better the environment and stop the cycle from repeating.

It is hard to inform people about everything with water pollution but the most importantthingfor people to know is that it is no joke andwater pollution is a very seriousthing. If we continue to allow the water to be polluted, we will soon run out of water to drink, cook with, swim in, etc. At this rate, before our generation is dead, there will be so much polluted water that it will be hard to swim in open water anymore. Spending time helping out in your community to clean up the water and beaches, and using less single use plastics, can be the difference in your children and grandchildren getting to swim in open water in their generation.
