I choose this artwork because I really enjoy digital art. This was the only project that we've done where we got to use digital art programs. I don't actually like Neo Expressionism; so I was in a strange starte where I was drawing in a style I didn't like, but using my favorite type of program. The emotion I was trying to invoke with this was being paranoid. I had the black cat as the center piece of the painting because black cats are the most iconic sign of bad luck. All the fireflies in the background of the painting are staring at you to make you nervous. You can see words like "Fri 13th" or "Macbeth". Or numbers like 666 and 9. All of those are signs of bad luck. There is nothing that invokes paranoia more than superstition.

In each grid space we took the reference image and sized the different parts of the image to fit inside the grid. With pencil we sketched out the image given. Before we started to shading in and outlining the lines more darker we had to erase the the grid lines. After erasing the lines we started darken the outline and started shading. The shading was done with different graphite pencils to depict the different shades of the image on to the drawing. The materials used for this project was a ruler, different pencil's, and a paper with a 3x3 inch grid drawn. I choose this drawing because it shows how different shading tones effect the way the drawing looks like.

This is a 2 point perspective drawing that I made. To make this I first used a ruler to draw a straight line through the middle of my paper horizontally. I then drew a straight line at the bottom of my paper. From where the line began and ended, I drew a line from that point to both ends of the horizontal line to create a cuboid. I then repeated this process all over my paper. After I finished I went over all the lines with a black sharpie and erased all the pencil marks. I chose to present this because I am really proud of the way it turned out and I wanted to share it with others.

This is my 2 point perspective drawing i used a T ruler which was used to make a horizon line after that i made a bunch of straight lines and to one end point of the horizon line i made a very light line then did the same for the other side then i cut my lines leading to the 2 points to make a square afterwards i made a top or bottom the same way as the actual square and i made a rectangle inside the squares then made a line to the bottom or top corners that are visible to make it seem that its a hole inside. I choose this art because it shows how well my creativity can get and shows my artistic and symmetrical skills.

This is my digital marble sky project. To make the project, I used photo pea and clicked a new project, I then used the brush tool and used 4 different colors and just started scribbled around, then I used the liquefy tool made the background strokes look like that and I made a new layer and colored the background dark red to have the dark red background behind the scribble. Then I used the shape tool and made the color black to make the buildings and other shapes. I rasterized the shapes to make them editable so I can cut pieces inside them. I then made another layer to make the lights of the buildings by using the rectangle select and the gradient tool. I had made another layer to use the lasso tool so I can make the ocean under the hill with the two boats and the lights of the angler fish. I had transformed the trees and a few other buildings with the distort tool and I made the flags and hill and many other stuff with the warp tool. I enjoyed making the project and coming up with ideas to make it look better. I found editing some stuff challenging because I couldn't make some shapes the exact way I wanted it. Overall this was a fun project.

In order to do create them it requires all your attention to capture the figure into your drawing, making it as detailed as it can be . It was really fun using different materials to make these drawing. It was difficult when it came up to using drawing boards and using the one line technique. Other than that this figure drawing unit was really fun and I liked it a lot.

I also used smart shapes to create the rectangles for the buildings and the select tool to cut out holes in order to ake windows. Using transform tools and smart shapes I created details in the buildings, bike and made the telophone lines and palm trees. I used the brush tool to make clouds. I used the select tool and the gradiant tool to make lights in buildings. I used a radial gradient to make the stars in the background.

When I first created the marble sky, the first idea that came to me was a city bathed in lights. However, adding just a city would bee too geometric and boring so I decided to add a couple of houses in the foreground. I made these houses but they were too geometric, so I warped them to give them more personality. In order to separate the city from the houses, I added an ocean in between them, with a blue hinge over the original marble background and two boats. I added a fence with grass across the houses, and added two trees. I cut out windows all over the large skyscrapers and added a gradient to show lights. However, there was still too much empty space in the marble sky so I added a crane, with different colored lights to create a more lively city. I enjoyed making this painting and I'm proud of the amount of details I added.

The artwork shown was made using Photopea, a digital graphics editor. The digital drawing is a marble sky background with a silhouette of a landscape. The marble sky background was made using 4 different colors that were blended together, using the brush tool, to make the marble sky effect. After making the background the silhouette was composed. It was composed of different geometric and organic shapes made using the shape's tool. After putting together different geometric and organic shapes I was able to compose different structures such as buildings, bridges, and land shapes. The ground was made of different shapes such as lines and circles that were later warped with the warp tool. This made the land look less flat and more like it had different levels. On top of the land the buildings and bridge were placed. Just like the making the land I warped many of the shapes on the buildings such as the lighthouse to make it look less geometric. After building all the buildings, I inserted gradients inside the windows and empty spaces that were made using the rasterize tool. To make the light the gradient tool had to be set as a color and then transparent to make it look like its a transparent light inside the windows and other places that were rasterized. It was challenging trying to figure out all the tools that needed to be used in order to make the composition of the silhouettes. But overall I feel that as my first digital illustration I was able to show all the effort that I had put in to this piece of artwork through the details put in to it.

This is the digital illustration I created for the Marble Sky Silhouette Illustration project. Using Photopea, I started by drawing on the background layer with four different colors. Afterward, I used the liquify feature to create a marbled background for my design. By adding new layers, I used geometric shapes to create the basic structure of my silhouette illustration. From there I used the rasterize feature to make holes in the shapes, so I could make windows on my buildings. By using the zoom shortcut, spacebar+cmd/ctrl, I was able to zoom into my buildings to add smaller details to give them an interesting composition. In addition, I used transform tools such as the distort and warp features to make the shapes less geometric and apply more texture to my illustration. Finally, I used the gradient tool on my windows to create a light effect. Overall, the part I enjoyed the most was adding the lights to the illustration because it was a very simple technique. However, it did create a captivating effect for my general illustration so I enjoyed it. On the other hand, I found adding the tree leaf texture to be the most challenging part of my illustration. The reason for this was that I had to use the warp and lasso tool to make irregular shapes. From there, I kept having to duplicate the design and position it in an appropriate way so it looked like leaves on a treetop which took hours to complete.

The range of colors utilized in this digital portrait made it difficult to create, and it took a long time. I started off by creating a marbleized, sky background. This was created by just using 4 colors, and then using the marbleized tool (liquefy filter). There were other tools used throughout this digital drawing that included, the fill tool, layer stacking tool, rasterized tool etc. What I enjoyed most was making lights within the windows with gradients. Another thing I enjoyed was creating the marbleized, sky background. One thing that I found challenging about this project was that, it took a little time to fully adjust and feel comfortable using the app itself.

I chose four colors then liquified the background making it swirly. I then added black shapes mostly rectangles and elipses moving them vertically and horizontally to get the shape I wanted.

For this illustration, I learned to utilize subtractive drawing to create an artwork. Supplies that were used include charcoal for the overall drawing. It is necessary to sketch the outline of the skull in 3/4 view. I also used blending stumps to create a smooth transition between the different sections of value, like the highlights around the teeth. One thing I wish to improve on in this drawing is to draw a base or "stage" that the skull would be placed on, so that it's not just "floating". But I did like how I created a good lighting direction. I also used white charcoal to intensify the highlights in the drawing. Otherwise, I just let the white of the paper show through. It was also interesting to learn to use this style of art to create this drawing, it was my first time. It left a good impression on me and hopeful I can use this skill again in the future.

This is my Holiday Card, that I created using Canva. Canva is a free graphic design platform, which also helps you create posters and presentations. Canva is quite new to me, I didn't experience a lot of challenges, it was quite easy for me to use. I created this work by selecting a background color, and inserting certain images I wanted. This was very fun and easy project for me, and in general. And I feel that I did very well at making my very own holiday card.

Out of the drawing, I drew, I pick this one to display in the Art Gallery because I think it looks good or turns better than the rest. I was using a reference from a homeless illustration, and used that and draw a better version of it. On the left side, it is a fall leaf that comes from some magical trees. Represents the season of fall, and where the homeless person is using a newspaper as a cover to try to shield himself from the cold environment he's in. And that there should be some kind of house or even small to help them stay warm or cool from the season that may come to the future.

I wish i had added another element to my drawing to wrap it together better to make it clear after reading the poems but it still fits the area that it needs to, to relate back to the poems.

The reason why I picked this was because I love how it turned out and every-time I see this GIF it reminds me of my hard-work and dedication it took me in order to make this happen. What I found challenging was the background because it was hard to find a color that would blend in and actually work with the GIF but overall I´m proud of how this turned out. The process was fun because there were moment where i had so much fun and then moments where I felt like giving up but I tried harder everyday.

I choose this artwork to use because im most proud of it and it is inspired by my poems from English class. This drawing is supposed to symbolize the unfairness and discrimmination against the African American community. I wasn´t completely finished work on this piece although i am satisfied with the way it looks it would of been so much more better with more time. I would definitely do another project like this for farther references.

This is a spirograph that I created using the action feature in photopea. I took a shape and recorded it as an action and kept clicking play until I achieved this. I liked the outcome of this which is why I chose to show this one. I enjoyed being able to be creative with it. What I found most challenging was making sure that I recorded my actions because if I didn't then it would not work if I went to play it.

This illustration was created with inspiration of one my poems. This poem tackled oppression against African Americans. I enjoyed creating something out of inspiration of my own work and not someone else's. I found it challenging to fully interpret my ideas as a drawing. This illustration shows people who are getting told to "get out now" and are feeling "lost". On the top right there is a nice view with tree's however it "was all but a dream".
