Since the instructional showcase, the government team has continued to have discussions on how to increase student engagement during the live lessons. While one lesson covers content/assignment, we were thinking of new was to increase student engagement with our second lesson.

It is empowering to work in an environment where we can take chances, reflect, make adjustments and do it better the next time.

The visual DBA presented by the USG team was really insightful. I will be working on creating a slide to add to one of mine using a prompt that I read while the student highlights or underlines key information. They used the example of highlighting text to show civic duties and responsibilities.
Julie Shafer

I really loved the idea of students taking on different roles/perspectives to discuss a topic. I would like to find a way to implement that for some of the Psych collaboration activities. I also loved Kim's well-organized weekly update. I do a weekly post, but would love to make it structured better like hers. I also think doing something similar for Homeroom may be a good idea for next year.
