Blogger is one of my favorite tools to use to promote digital literacy. I think that some teachers feel intimidated by it at first (I sure did!), but it gets much easier after some practice. One of the greatest opportunities with blogger is the chance to connect with an authentic audience. Next up, I would love to dive into WordPress.

Annie Falkenberg: I love using google docs and sheets for collaborative research projects for students. Here is a sample of one that a group is working on for a group project. The students add resources and comment on the work throughout their research progress. This will eventually to a group presentation where they have to collaboratively present possible solutions to a problem they identify in their research.

I would like to incorporate class dojo. I read that it was a great way to increase communication among parents, students and teachers. It also incorporates points to the students when you catch them doing something great. It is also very kid oriented where the students can be entertained as well as collaborate and communicate.

This tool on the website: https://www.mindmeister.com/es
provides a very nice opportunity to integrate a nice framework for learning with this DT. I would do it with my students F2F first and then I would introduce the website for further use and practice. Thank you for sharing :)

In my classes I love using Google Docs. I constantly talk to the students about the importance of communication and collaboration. All careers will require some form of communication and collaboration and our students must continue to perfect these skills. In my course, I have the students complete a very comprehensive Public Policy project in which they are working in groups to identify and solve an issue within their community. The first thing I have the students do is create a Google doc and add each of their group mates. This allows all members of the group to work on the same document simultaneously. As they complete work, they constantly have to communicate with each other so that they can collaborate on their project.

Martha Isabel Osorio loves blogger because this tool makes students be designers of their own websites. Also, becuase students must read and explore a lot of things to get the final version of their job. Additionally, collaboration feature is notable here since they giveot only feedback to others but also some recomendations about the websites.

But there is also a collaboration space available.

I like Google Classroom! I use the Stream to post announcements and assignments, it is easy to eidt and I have the students follow it from top to bottom for the day. I always start off with an agenda and then everything that follows is completed in order. Then as students submit completed assignments I have a quick view of those students that are not complete. I can grade their assignments in Classroom and comment to them either on the assignment or in a commment box. Students can also post comments or ask questions that may be relevant to others and get great discussions going. Google Docs allows students to share their document and work collaboratively or do peer editiing. Along with Google Classroom you can incorporate Google Hangouts, Google Slides, etc., all really effective collaboration tools, in my opinion. I am excited about learning and using other tools for collaboration, it just takes time to test them out myself, I greatly appreciate recommendations from my peers. I have now used Padlet, but sometimes I find it tricky to navigate and be able to read all posts (some seem to hide). I have used Blogger, and like it, but find Google Classroom basically does many of the same things and I can monitor a student's progression on specific activities from anywhere that I have internet.

As a teacher I can approve or deny work submitted. I can privately share it with family members or with the class and enable comments. I can approve or deny comments to students as well and from others (parents, grandparents, principal, etc) I have had a lot of success using this and kids can use pictures, audio, video or add links to share their work. It is cumulative and the kids can scroll to observe how they have changed as learners over time.
