The optional fields of study (i.e., abnormal, developmental, health, human relationships) and how they are included/taught as part of the core course. I'm interested in this because I want to know how I can best teach/integrate these additional topics into my planning. Actually, I'm not even sure if we should TEACH these options... maybe they should just be self-studied by the students? More information on these additional options would be much appreciated :)

The internal assessment. I have heard that this aspect of the curriculum can be difficult for teachers to teach, and for students to complete. For this reason I want to make sure I have as much information (and tips and tricks) about it as possible. I think this is a great aspect of the curriculum and I want to make sure I implement it as best as I possibly can.

The difference between SAQs and ERQs and what is expected of students for each type of question. I am interested in this so that I can help my students prepare for the papers in the best way possible. I want to know what is fully expected of the students so that I can pass this information along to them.

1. Am enjoying the fact that when i engage learners in the content, they will have to link it to the TOK, this will ensure they question the source of psychological knowledge.
I also love the inclusion of the extended essay which can be picked from any of the subjects and its exciting students can produce a 4000 word independent research on any of the psychological topics learnt.

2. Am interested in understanding one aspect of the External assesments which suggest, In addition, questions 1 and 2 in paper 3 are assessed by an analytical mark scheme in line with the demands of the question.

3. In the option blocks i definitely do enjoy the Health psychology - i find it relevant in the modern industrial world, especially with the growing movements of clean eating, pandemics like the corona virus and general health consciousness.

4. Psychology of Human relationships is interesting, and i feel that students will be able to draw from their own lives as examples, making it enjoyable and motivating for learners. It easily comes into a global context when exploring things like communication and group dynamics.we are a digital world that has affected relationships.

I would like to know more about how to assess psychology papers. I think I have a good understanding of the difference between SAQs and Essays and what the different assessment criteria ask for but I am not too confident giving a mark to these. I would also like to learn more about the IA and the EE and see examples of these if possible .

I really appreciate the various options and the fact that we get to choose what to teach.
I also value the importance the curriculum places on research methods and ethics, I think that's so important for the profession of psychology and gets students ready for further studies. Lorena Georgiadou

Moreover, I am expecting to learn from others experience and it would be a benefit to me to learn how to combine and design HL and SL class together.

1) I completed VCE here in Melbourne, Australia, I would be interested in exploring the assessments in DP Psychology. How to respond to questions, especially with the command terms being so important, how to prepare students for assessments and examinations. 2. In the Syllabus content, where there is optional content, do we have a discussion with students before choosing, or do we choose what we feel is best for our class? 3. Assessing student work is different in DP Psychology, how do we ensure that we are assessing in correct format?

1. I’m also interested in the assessment of EA and IA: how do we grade correctly with the help of mark scheme? If we have a lot of students (for example, 40 students for paper 1) to grade, is there any technique that helps us grade faster and clearer?

2. As for the elements in the curriculum, I find social cultural approach mostly interesting because I can learn different perspectives from different cultural, which reflects best to the international mindset of IB philosophy learnt from the 1st engagement.

So I decided to choose 2 topics that I want to discuss.
The first one is Research description. I've read about it in Teacher support material. So I have a Psychology IB students book. And there are lots of studies there. Can I use this book as the main course book? Can I describe studies that are there? Or I should add something new. Will it be enough for students to write the External Assessment.
Also I have a question about IA. In those 20 hours, do the time they use for performing an experiment is included? Or only consultations (let's call them this way).
Also. About additional topics. Is it possible to tell students that those particular topics will be taught? That they don't choose.
