The rubric is objective so it's challenging to assess subjectively.

District Alignment: How do the other K teachers feel about this as an assessment for this level?

Grading: It seems inappropriate to have 1 grading rubric for all grades. For example, if a K student independently writes a complete sentence, it's great work. It's not the same if a 5th grader does. Conversely, K students cannot yet write with "varied and complete description or explanation", but 5th graders could. Can we have rubrics by grade span, for example, K, 1-2, 3-5?
